'Helpsters': Release date, plot, cast, and everything you need to know about the child-friendly show from Apple

The show revealed during Apple TV Plus's announcement at the company's special event will be Sesame Street-themed and looks to teach coding concepts to preschoolers.
PUBLISHED SEP 12, 2019

The original 'Sesame Street' is a beloved TV show for children that educates and entertains and Apple is looking to capitalize on this while creating next generations of coders with one of its original programs, slated to hit Apple TV Plus when it launches this November.

'Helpsters' will be a 'Sesame Street' themed sho from Sesame Workshop, the producers behind the original show as well. With this show, Apple will target preschoolers, providing a show that's rounded with entertainment and education. This will inevitably be a good prospect for the company whose App Store generates billions of dollars in revenue, thanks to the multitude of applications released by third-party developers.

Release date:

The show will premiere on November 1 exclusively on the Apple TV+ platform.

Plot:

'Helpsters' will feature a new puppet Cody (clearly short for "coding") and his team of vibrant monsters known as Helpsters. What motivates Cody is that he likes to help others and solve problems. Whether it's planning a party, climbing a mountain or mastering a magic trick, the Helpsters can solve anything, starting with a plan to do so. As Cody stated during Apple's special event in March 2019 where Apple TV+ was announced, the show aims at giving preschoolers the opportunity to change the world through their knowledge of coding. Teaching preschoolers to code will foster collaboration, critical thinking skills, and most importantly, will teach an essential language that every child can learn. The show will naturally include the singing and dancing the original is known for, to make the learning more fun.
