MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: The abduction of the kindergarten teacher, Eliza Fletcher, in Memphis led to a tragic climax after the police found her body behind a vacant duplex house in South Memphis on Monday, September 5. However, a heartbreaking video of Fletcher singing for her students is going viral on social media. 

In the video, Fletcher is seen singing merrily for her students. She sings Harry Dixon Loes's 'This Little Light of Mine' and persuades the students to join her to sing the song before she starts talking to the students about her dog. The video has been viewed more than 635.4K times on Twitter when this article was written.

The billionaire heiress was out for an early morning jog at around 4.30 am on Friday, September 2, when she went missing. Her disappearance sparked a four-day search effort that led officers to a number of wooded areas across Memphis. The body was found about a hundred yards from the Longview Gardens apartment complex. She was violently abducted by Cleotha Abston who was later arrested and charged with especially aggravated kidnapping and tampering with Evidence.

The family of Fletcher said in an official statement, “We are heartbroken and devastated by this senseless loss. Liza was such a joy to so many — her family, friends, colleagues, students, parents, members of her Second Presbyterian Church congregation, and everyone who knew her,” The statement further said, “Now it’s time to remember and celebrate how special she was and to support those who cared so much for her.” Meanwhile, an event called  #GirlsOnTheRun took place to honor #ElizaFletcher and fans have reacted to the same.  

'Her sweet children won't get to love their Mommy in the flesh'

The video of the murdered kindergarten teacher, Eliza Fletcher was shared on the handle of the author, Ryan James Girdusky. Upon seeing the video, a user commented, "Her sweet children won't get to love their Mommy in the flesh, no more hugs, kisses." Another user chimed, This really brought it home. I am truly heartbroken. What a terrible loss for her family, friends and students. May God Bless them all."

As someone who trained for a marathon when my oldest two were little, on the very street she was kidnapped, often in the dark because that’s when I had free time, this tragedy has weighed on my heart. /1" Another wrote, "My heart hurts watching this. Crying for her, her family, her students, her town, our Country." "What a beautiful person and now soul ans angel I love the video and how she is smiling in heaven down on her family all those who love her  not my favorite thing to say online but I am so sorry for her loss and everyone around her who loved her and their loss the world lost her," said a user while another tweeted, "Her light will always shine-in the hearts of those to whom her beautiful presence made a difference.
