Heartbreaking 11-year-old Alysha Duran video leaves internet shaken
WESTMINSTER, COLORADO: An 11-year-old heart-rending video of Alysha Duran, who was killed by a responding police officer on July 25, at around 4.40 pm on 88th Avenue in Lamar Drive, Westminster, Colorado, has been found on YouTube and it has left Internet users utterly distressed.
The clip which has a duration of just more than a minute, shows the now deceased woman being seated, seemingly making a sort of a confession regarding the changes that she had noticed within herself at the last six months of her life at that time.
The video starts with Duran introducing herself in front of the camera, saying, "I'm Alysha Duran, I have been on a sacred bed set with love activators."
The woman, probably 35 at the time of recording the video, then makes a cryptic disclosure about her life.
"For six months now, the changes that I have noticed within myself is now I'm allowed to see the patterning in my life", she says.
"So if I'm going through a recurring pattern, I can maybe change the situation sooner than I normally would have in months instead of years."
It is beyond anyone's guess what Duran implied by 'patterns' and 'situation' at this point in time as hardly any outlet has reported anything significant about her life or past since her tragic death which is now termed as 'suicide by cop'.
How did the YouTube users react to the video?
The YouTube comments section of the video also quite vividly delineated how the internet users are left shaken after seeing the spine-chilling video of her last moments before her unfortunate demise.
One user commented, "Wow. This footage is chilling to watch with the knowledge we have now".
Another wrote, "It’s what happens when you have a broken mental healthcare system. They all talk about it but never do anything about it. I feel sorry for the woman, as she clearly was not in her right mind, and I feel sorry for the cop, who will now probably suffer with his own mental health issues because of this. Sad all around."
One user penned, "I really wonder what happened to her back then. From the outside it seems like there must be a connection between her suicide by cop to what happened to her so many years ago."
Another expressed his thought stating, "I hope god gives you the peace in heaven that you could not find here on earth."
"A clear case of suicide by cop, seems she was suffering and ready to end it all that day, she could have gone out in many ways but she decided to use innocent people to achieve her goal," one commented.
The curious case of Alysha Duran
Meaww previously reported that the Westminster Police Department released the body cam footage of the officer involved in the shooting as part of the evidence on August 18.
According to the footage, Duran was seen sitting inside a parked SUV with the car facing the wrong direction.
A patrol officer, named N Adams approached the vehicle after noticing that and asked her to roll down her window.
“What’s going on? You’re in the wrong land. Are you okay?” the officer can be heard in the video. Duran rolled her window reluctantly but did not answer any questions.
The patrol officer repeatedly asked her if she was doing okay and what was going on and even asked Alysha Duran whether he should call an ambulance.
Besides, he also enquired if she was intoxicated but then immediately he was heard saying that it didn’t seem so.
Duran, who was seen sitting quietly without reacting all this while, was then seen putting on a necklace and rubbing it as it might have reminded her of someone or something special to her that she probably lost.
Meanwhile, the officer can be heard reporting the incident via his walkie-talkie and most likely asking for help from the local police station.
“What you got in there? What you got in there, ma’am?” he is heard asking her.
Why was Alysha Duran fatally shot?
The officer, realizing it was a gun, unsuccessfully attempted to grab her firearm before drawing his own and aiming at her.
He fired several shots in the following moment which can be clearly heard from the footage.
The officer was then seen moving to the back of the car without checking whether Duran was alive.
"225, shots fired, shots fired, shots fire. Don’t move!!”, he is heard saying several moments later while he approached the vehicle.
“Are you okay?” the officer screamed many times, guessing that she might have lost her life and reported that he needed immediate assistance as the woman was down and that she had a handgun.
