There is one classic element that most rom-coms follow and that is rivals or frienemy turn into lovers. However, every new rom-com features a fresh cast and unique perspectives that pique our curiosity and lead us to watch it.

Hallmark 'Road Trip Romance' is another such rom-com that follows the story of two people, who used to hate and envy each other in high school but gradually get to know each other better and finally fall in love later in life. But what makes this romantic flick different is that both of these individuals are on a journey together and their destiny happens to be 'love' this time.

The Hallmark movie 'Road Trip Romance' is about Megan's (Natalie Hall) love for her sister Blair (Julia Borsellino), who will be married in three days in Wichita. Megan is required to attend the bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, and the main wedding as maid of honor. Her journey, however, is plagued by a series of disasters, including Denver airport strikes. Alden (Corey Sevier), who was a constant thorn in her side in high school when they fought in everything from debate club to cheer squad, is with her. Alden had to fly to Wichita for his father's retirement celebration. As they travel together, they eventually realize how much they have in common and how their high school rivalry disguised a profound mutual affinity.

Another factor that pulls the two closer together is the hurdles they faced along the way. Meanwhile, Blair is planning her wedding in Wichita, and due to Megan's late arrival, Blair's friend Della (Elana Dunkelman) steps in, growing increasingly captivated with the possibility of becoming a true maid of honor. Megan met Della as soon as she arrived at her house and asked her about the wedding venue because she had forgotten her invitation. Della made things worse by giving her the wrong address because she didn't want Megan to be the maid of honor for personal reasons, but Megan forgave her and they made it to the wedding.

Megan gave a speech at the wedding of her wonderful sister, wishing her all the best in life. A few minutes later, Alden stepped in, and Megan was both delighted and surprised to see him. Alden asked Megan out, the two kiss, and the story ended happily.

The chemistry between the lead actors Natalie and Corey looked amazing and effortless. What added humor to the story was the characters' banter throughout their journey. Also, the performance by Elana Dunkelman was impressive. The story actually holds a deep meaning behind us that once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale. Megan and Alden fall for each other but they least expected in life that the person you used to hate in high school might turn out to be your true love.
