Haliey Wells: Missing Tennessee teen’s CHILLING last text reveals she was struggling to deal with dad’s death
SMITHVILLE, TENNESSEE: A Tennessee teen sent a menacing text message a few hours before she vanished without a trace. Smithville resident Haliey Wells, who lives about 65 miles east of Nashville, was last seen exiting her home on Wednesday, March 15. The 16-year-old was seen between 1.00 am and 2.00 am and was reportedly on her way to a friend's home.
She allegedly texted a family member to let them know she was having trouble dealing with her dad's death and that she was with a friend. There hasn't been any more communication with this friend, who is thought to be female, since she sent that message. Her phone allegedly has been switched off and family members are deeply concerned about her safety.

Where is Haliey Wells?
According to a different report, Wells left her family a note saying how much she loved them and that she would be back in a few days. The Warren County Sheriff's Department has issued a request for information after the teenager has been gone for almost two weeks. The 16-year-old is a five-foot-two-inch, white, Caucasian female who weighs about 100 pounds. She has black shoulder-length hair with purple streaks and hazel eyes. She does not have a car, and it is unknown what she was wearing when she was last seen, reports The Sun.
'Hard post for a Momma to make'
Angela Sanders, her mother, has asked friends and family to keep an eye out for her because she does not own a car and is most likely alone. The mother, posted on Facebook on March 20, "Hard post for a Momma to make...be on the lookout and prayers pls!!" She added, "Can ya'll please let me know if you see my daughter Haliey Wells, she left the house Wednesday morning 1-2am and we haven't seen her since. We received 1 text on Thursday saying she needed some time to herself to think...that the death of her dad was something she just couldn't get over it." The worried mother continued, "She said she was with a friend a girl...that's all we know. She has not responded to text or social media."
'Phone has not been used'
Smithville is not far from Nashville, the capital of the state of Tennessee. Wells' mother's touching Facebook message has been shared more than 500 times, and yesterday she learned from the police that her phone has not been used since she vanished. Authorities suspect that the phone's battery is now dead or that the device is off. The worried mother wrote, "Please continue to look for Haliey Wells . It’s almost 2 weeks with no news. Most concerning is Halieys phone has not been used during this time . The phone company says it’s turned off or battery is dead."
'PLEASE HELP US'
Another family member also took to Facebook to express worry for the missing child and wrote, "WE. ARE. CRUMBLING. We would give ANYTHING to see her face right now, to know that she's simply ALIVE." The family member added, "PLEASE help us spread awareness to ease the panic and pain we are feeling right now. Haliey won’t get an AMBER Alert because she wasn’t taken (that we know of). The exposure that she has gotten and will get is dependent on her friends and family and how far we can spread awareness. PLEASE HELP US."
