Gucci Mane has made quite a few headlines, some good, mostly bad and yet again, the rapper has sparked an outrage after he came out with an insensitive tweet mid the COVID-19 outbreak that has claimed and continues to claim the lives of many around the world.

The tweet posted on April 12 read, "I pray my haters die of corona virus [emoji with mask]." It gave Easter Sunday a vicious turn as fans slammed the rapper in the comments. Of course, the tweet currently has 57k+ likes and has been retweeted over 15k+ times — we're just hoping most of them don't include support of such a tone-deaf tweet.

"On Easter morning? this can’t be what’s on your mind Our enemies are just reflections of the parts of us we hate the most," tweeted a user.

While it may seem, or we hope, that the musician's tweet was a joke, fans took the blatantly rude comment pretty seriously and buried him. "Not the 'best' thing to tweet at this moment in time while the world is going through the virus itself which is killing hundreds of thousands worldwide," tweeted one fan. As some fans tweeted, "canceled" and "damn, that's harsh," others chose to point out the complete insensitivity the tweet posed by highlighting the number of deaths around the world.

"Man you need some online church services and a hug. This is the worst timed tweet ever. There are people actually mourning the loss of loved ones now, due to the virus. Bad move big homie...," tweeted another user.

The controversial rapper was released from prison in 2016 and had claimed that his stint behind bars had "100 percent saved his life." He admitted in an interview that he was "outta control" and that he "wouldn't want to it over, but in hindsight, it helped" him.

We don't know what happened behind the scenes for the rapper to have tweeted such a derogatory thought, or whether it was a joke or done for clout, but we hope that he realizes his mistake and apologies to the thousands that could have been triggered by the tweet.

Fans continue to slam the rapper, and the comments seem to pour in, "Damn, at least let them go to jail first," tweeted another user, bringing up the irony of Gucci's past.
