Greta Thunberg mocks 'very happy old man' Trump in 2019 tweet recall, internet says 'gotta love her comeback'
Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg's and Donald Trump's online rivalry is pretty famous. The ex US president mocked the 18-year-old in a 2019 tweet by saying that Thunberg was a "very happy young girl" and later asked her to "chill". In 2019, hours after Thunberg delivered an impassioned speech to the United Nations Climate Action Summit, calling out world leaders for not responding to the climate crisis with more urgency, Trump mocked her while responding to her tweet. Thunberg's tweet read, ""People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction. And all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!" My speech in UN General Assembly in print."
Trump retweeted the post, which is now deleted, as Twitter deleted his account on January 9, 2021, after the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021. His message on the 23 September, 2019 tweet read, "She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see".

In 2019 again, Trump took to Twitter after Thunberg was named Time’s Person of the Year, and mockingly wrote: “So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!” Later, during the election, Greta replied to Trump while he was raging on Twitter in all capital letters, alleging voter fraud when Biden started getting a majority in Pennsylvania and other states. She tweeted: "Donald must work on his Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Donald, Chill!"
On January, as Trump was relegated to an ex and President Joe Biden was sworn in, Thunberg shared his picture and tweeted: "He seems like a very happy old man looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!" The tweet seemed like a direct reply to Trump's 2019 tweet regarding her.

Internet was mightily pleased with Thunberg's retort, with one person tweeting: "Gotta love Greta's comebacks". While another wrote: "Greta Thunberg finally found a fossil she's OK with burning." While sharing the comparison of both the tweets, another one wrote, "Well played Greta! @GretaThunberg #InaugurationDay How it started How it's going"

Adoring Greta's reply to Trump, many people said: "It was sunny in Washington DC and yet Greta Thunberg managed to cast shade all the way from Stockholm!" and "I hope scientists are working on finding a way to use Greta Thunberg's shade to counteract the effects of global warming."

More and more people started praising Greta for replying back to the old insult, adding, "Greta Thunberg's timing when it comes to trolling Trump has been impeccable" and that "Greta once again proving that not only do ND people have a sense of humour, we are also MONARCHS of the brutally sarcastic setdown".
