It’s only been a couple of months since Grace Hanson and Frankie Bergstein were back in our lives but we already miss them. But the good news is that our celebrated ladies of Netflix are scheduled to return with an all-new season, sometime early next year.

However, you don’t even have to wait to know about what’s coming in the upcoming season, because the leading stars and the creator's team of ‘Grace and Frankie’ will be coming right into your home this Thursday, April 9, 2020. Yes, you heard that right! Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, along with Marta Kauffman will be hosting a live reading session under the NetflixIsAJoke banner of the streaming giant.

Wait, there’s more. In the session, the stars will be sharing the scenes of a never before seen episode from the upcoming Season 7 of ‘Grace and Frankie’. The upcoming seventh and final season premiere episode is titled 'The Fallout',

As soon as the show’s team shared the news on Twitter, Twitteratis, fans, and followers poured in their reactions and have been super excited with the news. Some want more seasons, while the others are just rejoicing with this news.

The official ‘Grace and Frankie’ Twitter handle shared: “Staying at home but still rising up! Watch the cast of Grace and Frankie perform a live table read of a never before seen episode from our upcoming seventh season via @NetflixIsAJoke!”

Responding to this tweet, a fan comments, “Yes! Yes! The worst thing about quarantine is no new episodes of Grace & Frankie. The best thing about quarantine is 6 Seasons of Grace & Frankie to binge-watch over and over! And now this! What a gift! Thank you!”

Another fan believes that this period of self-isolation and quarantine has turned out to be a boon for creative people. She says, “First #TheNanny did it, Now @GraceandFrankie are doing it!! I do love the creativity that this virus is bringing out of everyone!!!”

While we don’t know yet about the plot of Season 7, we can make an assessment from what we saw last in Season 6. After going through their fair share of ups and downs, Grace and Frankie are back together to their beach house, starting a new business venture with the hydraulic toilets - 'Rise Up'. But as luck would have it, their ex husbands are also back to the house to live with them! Now we can’t wait to see if this rendezvous of the former couples and best friends will become chaotic or fun.

The upcoming live reading session will perhaps give us more clues on the upcoming storyline. But a few fans are expecting (as much as we are) that the ladies will perhaps tell each other about how they feel about their friendship. Or is there something more?

One fan questions, “but will it be a scene where Grace and Frankie finally realize their feelings for each other?”

‘Grace and Frankie’ Season 7 will tentatively drop in early 2021 and is said to have 16 episodes, making it the longest running streaming show (on Netflix). While you wait for the all-new season, catch up on Season 6 now streaming on Netflix.

Don’t forget to catch Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin on the live read session for one of the episodes that will stream on YouTube on Thursday, April 9 at 8 pm/9c.
