Gordon Ramsay refuses to hire his 'snowflake generation' children, asks them to 'f*** off to another chef'
If you thought Gordon Ramsay was tough on the chefs who appear on his reality shows, wait till you hear about how stern he is with his own brood. The 52-year-old TV chef has revealed that he would not employ any of his children, claiming that they could “f**k off to another chef” if they wanted to work in a restaurant.
Ramsay has four children with his wife Tana, who is pregnant with their fifth child. He claims that he doesn’t want any of his children to receive preferential treatment. “It’s like not employing the kids. I don’t want the staff thinking: 'F*** it’s Ramsay’s kid, we can’t tell them off,'" said the celebrity chef known for his fury and expletive-laden rants.
He said he would not pander to the "snowflake generation", and added, "You want to work in this business? You f*** off to another chef, learn something different and come back with something new to improve the business.'"
"I'm firm, I'm fair and I will give you everything I've got to get you to the very top. And that's it, no bulls***. I take a lot of flak for being straight and honest but I'm not worried about that f***ing snowflake generation," Daily Mail quoted him as saying.
Matilda Ramsay, his fourth offspring, is already a celebrity chef in her own right, having appeared on ‘The F Word,’ ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ and ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ to cook along with her father. Moreover, she has been the co-presenter of ‘Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch’ since 2015. In the show, we see Tilly cooking for her entire family during their summer vacation while her siblings Jack, Megan and Holly Ramsay travel around the city trying out new activities and taking part in challenges against each other.
Despite proving herself to be an exceptional chef, however, it seems like the 17-year might have to find herself a job in a restaurant that is not owned by her dad. However, we definitely see the father-daughter duo owning and running restaurants together. That is, after she "learns something different and comes back with knowledge that could improve the business".
