SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: 'Goodbye Earth', a South Korean sci-fi dystopian series written by Jung Sung-joo and directed by Kim Jin-min, has officially released on Netflix.

Starring Ahn Eun-jin, Yoo Ah-in, Jeon Sung-woo, Kim Yoon-hye, and Kim Kang-hoon in pivotal roles, the series vividly portrays the lives of people grappling with impending doom as they confront the collision of Earth with an asteroid, which is set to occur in just 200 days.

Based on the novel of the same name by Kōtarō Isaka, the dystopian sci-fi series follows the journey of Jin Se-Kyung (Ahn Eun-Jin), a school teacher who protects children from child trafficking amid various difficulties.

Throughout the series, individuals are grappling with the impending disaster of an asteroid hurtling towards Earth, desperately striving to ensure their survival as they confront this existential threat.

In 'Goodbye Earth' Episode 12, the tension mounts as people confront the reality of the approaching asteroid collision. Amidst the chaos and uncertainty, some people forge a plan to evacuate the city before the asteroid collision.

Amidst the chaos of the impending asteroid collision, some individuals take advantage of the situation and kidnap children. The revelation of these kidnappings shocks the community, highlighting the darker aspects of human nature that can emerge in times of crisis.

Yoon Sang-eun (Yoo Ah-in) supports Jin Se-kyung during these challenging times, as they both share a common goal of fighting against child traffickers who are wreaking havoc in the city.

Meanwhile, Kang In-ah (Kim Yoon-hye), a commander within a combat service support battalion, shares a heartfelt moment with Jin Se-kyung. Before parting ways, Kang In-ah reassures Jin Se-kyung of her continued support and friendship.

Faced with the overwhelming threat of the child traffickers and the chaos they have wrought upon the city, Jin Se-Kyung makes a daring decision to leave everything behind.

In the last scene of 'Goodbye Earth' Episode 12, viewers are taken on a gripping journey as Jin Se-Kyung makes a bold decision. She leaves everything behind and heads to a location, presumably to confront and possibly shoot a child trafficker.

Jin Se-kyung says goodbye to the simple joys and everyday experiences that are often unnoticed or undervalued.

The episode does not show the actual collision of the asteroid with Earth, instead focusing on Jin Se-kyung's contemplative journey.

Viewers are left on a cliffhanger, pondering the outcome of Jin Se-kyung's confrontation with the presumed child trafficker. The scene is intentionally ambiguous, leaving her actions and the fate of the trafficker open to interpretation.
