Beth's Boland's (Christina Hendricks) last attempt to bug Rio (Manny Montana), ended rather unexpectedly, with things between Rio and Beth getting hot and heavy. But while Beth's attempts at distracting Rio may have worked at the time, it's not surprising that he eventually finds the wire that Beth was using, hidden behind his grandmother's books.

But while Rio hides his disappointment and dare we say his heartache underneath his trademark smirk, he quickly shrugs it off and it's business as usual. He tells Beth that he needs a place to park his cash. Since Beth and the girls are under so much scrutiny, it needs to be someone green, to hide the green so to speak.

This is when Beth has one of her many brainwaves, why not kill two birds with one stone? The girls and Beth decide to present Agent Phoebe (Lauren Lapkus) to Rio, undercover of course. The task of creating Phoebe's cover as Carolyn, a mother-of-two is easier said than done. But the girls after much training, finally feel she's ready to meet Rio and take up the job he has in store for her. Rio doesn't make it easy, however. When does he ever though? Not only does he turn the tables almost literally on the girls, when he refuses to sit at their bugged table, but he also insists on a whim on checking out Carolyn's house. This almost leads to the game being up, but Agent Dave (Jonathan Silverman) steps in to save their cover at literally the last moment.

However, since it's literally the last moment, he doesn't have time to wire the place, which means that Rio's virtual all-out confession goes unrecorded, leaving Beth and the girls back at square one.

Well, actually a couple of squares away from square one, because Rio has a sneaky suspicion that Carolyn with a Y, is actually a secret service agent. It turns out that Rio isn't willing to take chances with Carolyn. We see Carolyn aka Agent Phoebe waiting for Rio and Beth. She's visibly excited when Rio hands over a bag to her. Agent Phoebe feels that she's finally got Rio in the bag so to speak, but when she and Agent Dave open the bag all they find is costume jewelry and none of the money, that they could have trailed.

Will Beth and Agents Dave and Phoebe ever manage to get the better of Rio? To find out where this cat and mouse game ends up, you can catch the latest episodes of 'Good Girls' on NBC on Sundays at 10 pm.
