In a blow to Democrats, the results of the Virginia gubernatorial election seem to be going in favor of Republican candidate Glenn Youngkin. As the 54-year-old businessman and CEO of The Carlyle Group inches closer to victory, Conservative followers have started rejoicing in anticipation of a Republican regime in the Eastern state. Glenn Allen Youngkin had earned the gubernatorial nomination in May 2021 and faced Democrat candidate Terry McAuliffe in the final elections.

The multi-millionaire is a resident of Great Falls, Virginia where he lives with his wife and four children. Youngkin is married to Suzanne Youngkin for 27 years and often gushes about her, fondly calling her 'Suzy-Q'. While the election results might be a bitter truth for nearly half of Virginia, it is definitely a celebration at the Youngkin household.

Suzanne Youngkin emerged as a noteworthy figure beside her husband during the latter's electoral campaign in the last few months. The mother of four aggressively campaigned for Glenn Youngkin across several provinces of Virginia and urged everyone to exercise their voting rights.

In her professional life, Suzanne S. Youngkin started out as a PR executive at Ogilvy. She completed her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University.

Presently, she happens to be the President of the Phos Foundation and also the founder of Normandy Farm. She serves on the advisory boards of several organizations, including the Shakespeare Theatre Company,  Meadowkirk Retreat Center, and Virginia Tech's Equine Medical Center.

While it is not exactly known how she met Glenn Youngkin, the two have been happily married since 1995.

In one of his recent Instagram posts, Glenn Youngkin was all praises for his wife Suzanne, as he wrote, "Suzanne has been God’s greatest gift to me. Her grace, love, and support have been the biggest blessing on this journey. Not only has she had a successful career co-founding Virginia Ready, serving as the President of the Phos Foundation, and founding Normandy Farms, but she has also led our family in raising four kids in Great Falls. She makes me better every day. Suzanne, you have taught me so much through your courage and strength over the past nine months of this campaign and 27 years of marriage. I am blessed to have you on this journey with me. I love you, Suzy-Q."

According to AP, CNN, ABC, and NBC, Youngkin is the projected winner of the elections and the next potential Governor of Virginia. CNN further projected that with Youngkin's victory, Republican Winsome Sears will be Virginia’s next lieutenant governor. She would be the first female lieutenant governor and the first Black woman elected to Virginia state office.

Meanwhile, as Youngkin delivered his victory speech ahead of the result declaration, his wife Suzanne took the stage to thank everyone for voting and helping in the campaign. "On stage now - Suzanne Youngkin. She thanks everyone in attendance and gives a shoutout to the women who helped with the campaign and came out to vote," wrote NBC reporter Karina Bolster.
