'Give that man a raise:' Police officer hailed for slamming door in Trump's face at courthouse
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former POTUS Donald Trump was arrested on Tuesday, April 4, over the hush money scandal involving porn star Stormy Daniels. The arraignment will take place before Juan Manuel Merchan. Trump turned himself in before appearing in court and was effectively arrested even though he won't be shackled, forced to pose for a mug photo, or given the perp walk.
A video is now going viral on social media where we can see an officer slamming the door in the court in Trump's face. In the usual scenario, officers are bound to open and hold the door for presidents and former presidents. However, in the video, one of the officers does not seem to open and hold the door for the former POTUS.

Why did Donald Trump get arrested?
The former POTUS got arrested in the hush money scandal. On his way to the court, he wrote on Truth Social, "Seems so SURREAL -- WOW, they are going to ARREST ME. Can’t believe this is happening in America. MAGA!." Meanwhile, the arrest comes as Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg continues to investigate Trump's role in the alleged case. He also wrote on the platform, "Alvin Bragg shut down New York City, brought in 38,000 NYPD officers, and will spend an estimated $200,000,000 of NYC funds, for a totally legal $130,000 NDA. On top of all that, the 9th Circuit Court just awarded me $122,000 — over the $500,000 already awarded, from Stormy “Horseface” Daniels!"
'Play of the day'
The Internet quickly reacted to the situation. A user noted, "Love how they didn't hold the door open for him lol." Another added, "Play of the day." "I got too much enjoyment out of that. Bookmarking so I can watch again and again," claimed another. A user claimed, "2017 #Trump to police: 'Please don't be too nice' to suspects. "But, looking at them, I wonder how many of them still support him," read a comment. "Awesome. Simply awesome," explained another. "The only clip I needed to see," tweeted another. A user explained, "Lol, I noticed that, too." "You have to give respect to earn it," wrote a user. A user added, "Give that man a raise." "Exactly what this criminal deserves," explained a tweet. Another added, "Is this that "Don't be too nice" situation Trump told police officers to do to people that they arrest?." "That was supposed to be done by George Santos," explained a user. "Criminals don’t get consideration. Oh how sweet.," claimed another.
