On the June 2 episode of 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert', Keegan-Michael Key gave an interesting interview on his views on the George Floyd protests and what he is doing to help. The host of the new CBS series 'Game On' spoke of how amid frustration, sadness and anger he felt exhausted because of the "systemic issues" we are dealing with. As usual, the beginning of the episode saw Colbert run though all the drudgery that president Trump has been a part of recently.

With fans calling this a "great interview", the well-acclaimed comedian and actor, Key, expressed that while the incident involving Floyd was caught on tape, he wondered "how many of these instances don't we know about?" The protests that have taken a violent turn in some cities where some have resorted to vandalism and looting. Key stated that we are in the middle of a "double phenomenon" right now and there should be a "bifurcation" between the looting and peaceful protesting, and they are not to be thought of as the same. The actor said that he thinks the looting is the result of pent up frustration among people, who are now responding to many issues all at once. He further said that the "unspoken contract" that allowed everyone to pursue "the American dream" was being held back for a few, and the manifestation of that frustration is looting. Not everyone is allowed the right to pursue liberty and happiness, the actor added.

Key explained that he has been watching sweet social media content like two toddlers, white and African American, running and hugging. He believes that supporting criminal justice reform and voting reform will help replace a person in charge with someone that wants to follow the law or use the law to help people out. Colbert revealed that he and Key had already spoken about these topics as he welcomed Key again to the show for the second time in two weeks for this interesting interview.

'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert' airs on all the weekdays on CBS.
