Gayle King has expressed her boredom because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The ‘CBS Mornings’ co-host appeared on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ on Monday, January 10, and said: “I’m so tired of being tired and afraid of this. I think we all have got to figure out how we can live our lives and navigate it. And that’s where I am.”

The 67-year-old also said that she does not want to work from home again. CBS has reportedly asked its staff members to be ready for it if the situation worsens. “And so help me Jesus, I would much rather run down Times Square buck naked than go back home,” King stated before insisting, “buck naked. That’s what I would rather do than go back home.”

But when Colbert jokingly said, “Gayle, I’m telling you. Super Bowl ratings,” King added: “Super Bowl ratings are people going ‘I’m going blind, tell her to put on clothes!’” King had indicated the same feeling in May 2021 when she made a virtual appearance on the May 25 episode of Colbert’s show. She had said at the time: “Here’s the thing: I’m tired of being scared. Honestly. I’ve been so afraid, hunkered down here at home. I’m tired of being scared.”

During the 2021 interview, King was reminded of her appearance on Colbert’s show in 2020 as well and at the time, she recalled, “I was so afraid to leave the house, you’re right. We were broadcasting from here, so I’d literally go from my bedroom to the TV room to the kitchen to the bedroom to the TV room. For excitement, I’d go stand in the living room and wave at the birds! ‘Hi, birds! Hi!’ I was so afraid.” She then noted: “But now, Stephen, I am vaccinated. It is my superpower. I am vaccinated….I’m taking little baby steps [back into the world].”

Meanwhile, King has been trolled for her recent remarks. A critic sarcastically wrote, “How nice for elite ass just wish we would have had a plan for our immuno compromised.” The second critic tweeted, “Biden is in trouble so now Democrats are minimizing Covid.” “Interesting how the language and narrative have shifted now that president pudding can’t shut down the virus. Amazing so many in the media are spouting this line seems like this is a coordinated effort to minimize the Biden failures,” the third user commented.

A person said, “They're finally reaching the same point the rest of us were at a year and a half ago. I'm sure the approaching midterms are entirely incidental though.” Another one stated, “The vaxes are failing , fraud fauci is busted and Biden’s poll numbers are 25 percent.” A tweet read, “Once again these late night talkies load up on left wing journalist ,celebrities, politicians with nothing but hate. Gayle King Oprah’s Best Friend . I think it’s on her resume.”
