There are some people whose extra pounds don't make them look bad at all, especially when they're full of energy or badass self-confidence (here's remembering the physical antics of Jack Black). One such star in South Korea is the man behind one of the country's most famous global hit 'Gangnam Style', namely PSY.

PSY is one of those performers you can't keep your eyes off as they're constantly pulling out weird, wild, funny and highly entertaining moves in front of the camera, all in the name of fun. His weight has never really been an issue for audiences or fans and his confidence is magnetic, but things concerning his appearance may have changed recently. It's no cause for concern, however, as he seems just as energetic as ever.

PSY took to his social media today to show fans another funny video to promote an artiste under his own record label, P Nation. More specifically, to promote the new mini-album 'I'm Not Cool' by HyunA, which released on January 28. In the video, the singer entertains viewers with a comical dance while repeatedly saying "cool".

In the caption, he wrote, "Love promoting my artiste this way. I felt stiff so might as well." PSY wears a black turtle neck with a skull picture on it, and a pair of slim jeans and his figure is noticeably and remarkably reduced. Check out the clip below.

Meanwhile, many fans were taken aback by his weight loss and he has surprisingly received criticism over it. "Why did you get so skinny," asks a fan on Instagram while another wrote, "How can you just let yourself go like this just because you don't have any concerts going on? You should reflect."

One fan said, "Maybe because you haven't been doing concerts but your chubby cheeks aren't what they used to be~ :(" Another asked, "Why does this hyung have a good body... he's lost his roots.." According to Allkpop, even HyunA commented, "You did lose too much weight. Maintain your figure! Your fans will be sad." PSY dropped a reply by saying, "I'm sorry. I'll maintain my figure."

A lot of fans on Twitter, though, are scratching their heads as to why the artiste wanting to lose weight should be an issue in the first place and are defending him. One fan expressed, "why are knetz getting mad at psy for losing weight how are knetz real i cant believe this shit."

One fan tweeted in all caps, "WHY ARE PPL MAD AT PSY FOR LOSING WEIGHT????" Another noted, "PSY reallu have to apologize just for losing weight. The only artist who was scolded by his fans for losing weight."
