Gabriella Magnusson: Joel Kinnaman gets restraining order against model who extorted him for sex
'Suicide Squad' actor Joel Kinnaman was recently granted a restraining order against a woman who allegedly extorted him for sex. Swedish-Jamaican model Gabriella Magnusson, who is more popular by the name Bella Davis, was reportedly "using harassment, threats of physical violence by herself and others, and threats to disseminate false information to extort money" from the actor. Kinnaman shared an elaborate Instagram post on August 6 with details about the alleged harassment by the woman.
Kinnaman, who is famous for his roles in 'Suicide Squad', 'RoboCop', 'Altered Carbon', 'House of Cards', 'For All Mankind' and 'The Killing', claims to have had a "brief romantic relationship" with Magnusson in late 2018. The two had consensual sex in November that year, followed by another time in December 2018 in New York. However, the woman later started threatening him with false accusations of non-consensual sex, unless he gave in to her demands of money and Hollywood connections. "...Her threats of violence against me and my loved ones have become so serious and specific that I felt I had no choice but to seek a restraining order," Kinnaman wrote in his post. He further mentioned that Magnusson's brother had reportedly pointed a rifle at his manager in a bid to extort him.

Who is Gabriella Magnusson aka Bella Davis?
Magnusson is a model of Swedish-Jamaican origin, whose Instagram bio also lists her as the CEO of a talent management company called 48 Entertainment Management. She also appeared as a model on the 2014 season of 'Project Runway'.
In his lengthy Instagram post, Kinnaman narrated the entire story of his brief fling with Magnusson, along with details about her alleged attempts of extortion. The 41-year-old actor, who is currently engaged to Kelly Gale, wrote, "Earlier this morning, I filed for a restraining order against a woman who has been threatening to physically harm me and my family and loved ones, and attempting to extort money and other things of value from me. While it is mortifying and scary to come forward about all of this, what feels worse is enduring the escalating daily threats of physical harm to me and my loved ones and threats to go to the press with fabricated, vile rumors unless I agree to a list of demands that includes money, Hollywood connections, helping to secure a work visa, a verified Instagram page, a Wikipedia page, a photo shoot with Sports Illustrated, an additional $400,000 USD for an apartment and more. And so, I want to share the facts with you, honestly and directly:
In late 2018, when I was single, I had a brief romantic relationship with a woman named Gabriella Magnusson, a Swedish model who goes by the name of Bella Davis. In November 2018, we met up in New York and had consensual sex. The next month, in December 2018, we again met up in New York and had consensual sex but did not spend the night together because I had to get up early the following morning for work. The next day she texted me that she was bothered that I had not asked her to spend the night and that I did not check with her to make sure she made it home safely.
In 2019 and 2020, Bella resumed contact with me, asking to meet up and sending sexually explicit content, but I was in a relationship at this point, so I did not respond. Given her increasingly obsessive communications, I felt it was best to cut off all communication with her. But Bella continued to try to communicate with me-texting and calling from other people’s phones – and these communications became more and more antagonistic, threatening, and frightening over time.
Recently, Bella resorted to threatening to publicize false information about me — including that I had sex with her against her will — unless I capitulated to her demands. Hoping to resolve this situation, on July 25, I had a lengthy telephone conversation with Bella, which she knew was being recorded. In that taped conversation, Bella more than once acknowledged that the sex was consensual. In that same conversation, she reiterated her threat to tell the media that it was against her will unless I met her demands. At one point, she stated, “Do you know how much money I would get and how famous I would be if I went to the press?” She also made threats of physical violence against me and my family by herself and others, including her brother, a convicted felon, who pointed a rifle at my manager.
Since then, her threats of violence against me and my loved ones have become so serious and specific that I felt I had no choice but to seek a restraining order."
Kinnaman further clarified toward the end that he stands by all survivors of sexual assault but that was not the case here. "I want to be VERY clear so there is no misunderstanding: I stand by all victims of sexual assault. That is not what occurred here. This was consensual sex. And now it is an attempt to extort. More importantly — this is a threat to the safety of my family and loved ones, which will always be my top priority," he stated.
Gabriella Magnusson calls Joel Kinnaman a liar
Soon after he published the detailed statement, Magnusson released a series of Instagram posts dubbing the claims made by Joel Kinnaman as false. In a post written in Swedish, she tagged Kinnaman, his manager Orlando John and Kelly Gale, sharing, "This is what my lawerr told me lets tell the true. I NEVER ASKED for anything it is as Joel snd Orlando that offer me stuff instead tibbe silent my lawer Said Joel Kinnaman raped me twisted snd husvagnen Wendt 8! She further released a recording of her conversation with Kinnaman to disprove his allegations. She also shared the screenshot of a Paypal money transfer of 2,25,000 SEK by Kinnaman's manager. "Why did joelkinnaman agent pay for my lawyer and my lawyer refused to go with the deal they wanted. They wanted me to be silent But let the true come out…" Magnusson claimed in the post.
