TORREILLES, FRANCE: Stunt videos tend to go viral on social media but recently netizens were stunned by a video of a man in France jumping from the top of a giant waterslide, risking his life for the stunt. In response to the video, the waterpark's administration has released a public statement.

In the viral video, the man, La Mascotte, a TikToker known for his stunt videos, can be seen standing on the roof of the launchpad of a mammoth waterslide at Frenzy Palace waterpark in France. The man launches himself into the air but lands awkwardly in the middle of the slide before hitting the water.

The video has garnered over 24 million views on TikTok and more than 248K views on Instagram. After impressing his audience, now the stuntman has decided to frighten them by showing the painful aftermath of doing such crazy stunts. In a follow-up post, he shows the huge black bruises he got on his body after pulling off the crazy stunt. However, the stuntman told LADbible that it was just a few bruises and nothing serious.

"Of course this was reserved for athletes/competitors and stuntmen and not for the general public. This competition takes place every year at the beginning of August in partnership with Riding Zone! This [jumping from the roof] is of course only possible for professionals/stuntmen. The public can't use the roof, it was just for the competition," the spokesperson added.

While some social media users slammed La Mascotte for doing these stunts, some praised him for being brave to show what happens later. A user commented, "Keep this up & he has about another good 4- 5 jumps from a good elevation & he’s checking out. Poor diving posture." "Honestly, it's rare when I give strength to someone, but strength to you, you enjoy," wrote the second user. "He must have felt so free and light as a butterfly whilst up the air for those few seconds," said a third, while another added, "41 loops and counting, that was AWESOME!"
