NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: New Orleans opens its spring festival season this weekend with the 40th Annual French Quarter Festival, featuring hundreds of acclaimed and Grammy Award-winning musicians. The festivities run April 13-16 and admission is completely free. The four-day musical extravaganza will run from 11.am until 8.pm each day.

French Quarter Festival is one of the largest free music festivals and is considered a celebration of food, music, art and people coming together, is celebrating a milestone as it enters its 40th year. This year fans will be able to see veteran music festival performers along with some new talent on the stage.

French Quarter Festival 2023

The French Quarter Festival will begin on April 13 and end on April 16. The four-day festival will take place in the historic French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana. With more than 20 stages and countless singers, the French Quarter Festival is packed with countless performances. This year, more than 50 new artists will debut and perform alongside many local legends, making this year's lineup one of the most incredible events yet. Although the music festival's official setlist has yet to be revealed, we take a look at the full lineup of singers and bands for French Quarter Fest 2023.

French Quarter Festival Lineup - Day 1

On Thursday, April 13, 2023, Irma Thomas, Soul Queen of New Orleans, Ani Difranco and Leroux from Louisiana are scheduled to perform. Irma Thomas is one of the veterans of the French Quarter Festival, and the New Orleans-born singer is preparing to kick off the festival's 40th anniversary. Ani Difranco will also perform on the first day. Difranco is known for her folk and alternative genres and has released 20 albums. The LeRoux Band, known for their iconic song 'Take a Ride On a Riverboat,' is expected to perform their hits. 



 

Also performing on the first day are - Babineaux Sisters Band, Bag of Donuts, Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band, Caesar Brothers Funk Box, Corey Ledet & His Zydeco Band, Defeayo Marsalis & The Uptown Jass Orchestra, Ernie Vincent, Gerard Delafose and the Zydeco Gators, Joe Lastie's New Orleans Sound, Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes, Kermit Ruffins & The Barbecue Swingers, Kid Chocolate, Mahogany Brass Band, Mem Shanon & The Membership, New Orleans Suspects, Poisson Rogue, Paul Sanches and The Rolling Road Show, Preservation Brass, Roderick Paulini (Rev) And The Congregation Slugger, Susan Cowsill, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, The Iguanas, The Lillu Lewis Project, The New Orleans Catahoulas and Tuba Skinny.

French Quarter Festival Lineup - Day 2

For the second day, Friday, April 14, 2023, musical guests are scheduled to be Samantha Fish, The Soul Rebels Ft Big Freedia and Erica Falls. Kansas City native and vocalist Samantha Fish is known for her performances in a variety of genres, from rock to ballads. Hailing from New Orleans, hit duo The Soul Rebels Ft Big Freedia, who produced the song 'Good Time,' will once again take the stage together. Representing the heart and soul of New Orleans is Erica Falls, known for her ethereal live performance.

French Quarter Festival Lineup - Day 3

On Day 3, Saturday, April 15, 2023, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux And The Golden Eagles, Rebirth Brass Band and Flow Tribe will be the main acts. Grammy-nominated Monk Boudreaux, best known as the Big Chief of the Golden Eagles Band, will perform. Also performing on the third day will be Rebirth Brass Band from New Orleans, which has been in business since 1983. Flow Tribe, a funk-rock band also from New Orleans, Louisiana, will also headline the third day of the music festival.

French Quarter Festival Lineup - Day 4

The fourth and final day of the French Quarter Festival, Sunday, April 16, 2023, musical guests to headline the show include Tank And The Bangas, Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentleman, and Rockin' Dopsie Jr & The Zydeco Twisters. Tank And The Bangas is a Grammy-nominated musical group from New Orleans, Louisiana that will headline the final day of the festival. Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen, the popular New Orleans music group, will set the stage on fire once again on the final day of the festival. Last but not least, Rockin' Dopsie Jr, son of the famous Rockin' Dopsie Jr, one of the most popular folk bands, continues his father's legacy by playing with the band Rockin' Dopsie Jr & The Zydeco Twisters.
