They have unresolved issues with each other and the rest of the world. They are equally driven by ambition and have never hesitated to be vocal about anything when need be. But, the Foster sisters just couldn’t always put up with each other, no matter how co-dependent they are.

Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana Adams Foster (Cierra Ramirez) led seemingly different lives and walked their own paths in pretty much whole of ‘Good Trouble’ Season 2B. While Callie decides to take the next big step in her relationship with Jamie Hunter (Beau Mirchoff) and moves in with him, Mariana focuses all her energy on making her app come alive and also finds a new roommate to replace her sister.

As the series progressed, we saw trouble ensue in Callie and Jamie's relationship, be it for their contradicting values or just the way they perceive the world as individuals. Callie even chose Jamie over her career by stepping down from the Onway case, only to realize there was much more to the story than what was presented before her.

When in ‘Trap Heals’ she finally learns that the company Jamie is representing is planning on building mental health prisons, despite Mariana insisting on her sister reconsidering her decision, Callie ends her relationship with Jamie, saying how she doesn’t want to “use love as an excuse to not do the right thing”.

Meanwhile, Mariana faces the ultimate betrayal from Isabella, when the latter’s hookup with Raj is exposed. At this, Mariana decides to step up for herself by valuing her feelings for Evan Speck (TJ Linnard) and letting Raj Patil (Dhruv Uday Singh) go for good.

Callie moves back into the Coterie following her breakup with Jamie, not because she has nowhere to go, but to live with her sister again, who is also her best friend.

Although the Foster sisters’ co-dependency has drawn them closer, it is only a matter of time before an external factor or emotions within tear them apart. But, if the sisters can overcome the issues, they could probably help each other grow and continue navigating life together in LA.
