Freddy Moore's wife reveals singer is battling Alzheimer's after ex Demi Moore claims she cheated on him
Renee Moore has come forward and revealed that Freddy Moore has been battling Alzheimer's after his ex, Demi Moore spoke about cheating on him just before their wedding. In her blog, it's not a rumor, Renee disclosed that the "love of her life" has been battling Alzheimer's.
In the introduction to her blog, Renee notes that she hopes to post everything she knows about Alzheimer's in the hopes of helping others as well as seeking help from anyone who might have an idea about the condition.
"Hi, my name is Renee. I am not sure how to tell you this catastrophic story but my goal is to share everything I have learned so that we can help each other get through this or find some help and or support. Do you know anyone with Alzheimer’s disease? Do you have any ideas and suggestions that you would like to share? Please write to me rschyjer@gmail.com with any comments, questions, ideas, and stories," she noted on her blog.
Renee recalled the times she spent with Freddy and how magical they had been for her. "I married the love of my life. He was brilliant, a genius in fact, handsome, and so loving and giving, the sweetest person you could ever meet. He was an amazing songwriter, musician, and singer. We would have a conversation until the early hours of the morning and being together was heavenly," she noted.
Renee further noted that they got the devastating news about Freddy's Alzheimer's when he was 60. "After 35 years of loving each other and marriage, we got the horrible news that Rick had Alzheimer’s disease at age 60. But 60? It is such a young age 60. Men even have kids at 60, my dad did. People don’t retire until 65. Getting this news was the saddest day of my life," she added.
Recently, in an interview with Fox, Renee spoke about Demi's tell-all book and noted that they hadn't read the book. "We have not seen the book, so can’t and won’t comment on any specifics,” she said. “What I will say is that Rick [Freddy] and Demi were married a long time ago when both of their lives were very different. In the time since they have both moved on to their own paths.”
Renne further added that Freddy would release his own book telling his side of the story but presently the focus was on him getting better while he battles Alzheimer's. “Rick is, like too many others, struggling with the horrors of Alzheimer’s,” she explained. “Our thoughts and efforts are focused on his care. Before the disease progressed he did write his story, and at some point that will be shared in his own book. We see this as his, much as I’m sure Demi sees her book as her own.”
