Frankie Grande plays the role of Franz in the new Los Angeles production of 'Rock of Ages'. In conversation with MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), Grande talks about how he got the role and how dancing is in his genes.

When asked about how he got involved in the project and if he was a fan of the show before-hand, Grande said, "Well, I was on the show on Broadway, but prior to that, I had seen it in previews and fallen in love with the show. Like I fell in love with Constantine Maroulis and I fell in love with the entire vibe of the show."

On how he ended up getting the role, Grande added, "I was obsessed with music, and the story and obsessed with Franz. So when I was on 'Big Brother', which is so funny cause I had my two castmates on the carpet with me — I said  on the show, 'I would love to play Franz on Broadway'."

"Someone clipped it, sent it to the producers, and then they have the offer waiting for me when I walked out of the house," he revealed.

Grande also talked about how while he has to do a lot of "physical stuff" while enacting the role of Franz, he's always been a dancer. "I was a dance major in college. But I mean, I think I came out of the womb dancing, to be honest. I think my mom would probably say that."

"I've just been always drawn to music and always had an innate sense of my body. Like I could always move. And then once I started training, I learned very quickly. So yeah, dance has always been, it's in my DNA," he shared.

Having already been on 'Big Brother', Grande said "I want to do 'Big Brother All-Stars'. I think that would be super fun."
