As the New Year comes along, NBCUniversal's Oxygen has a slew of new and returning original true-crime programming lined up for fans of the genre. The event, titled 'Nine Nights of Twisted Killers' will feature the return of favorites such as 'Killer Siblings' and 'An Unexpected Killer' as well as the premiere of new shows. One of the new shows lined up for the event is 'Framed By The Killer' that is produced by none other than Ice-T himself.

'Framed By The Killer' focuses on the premise that the evidence seems to point to one person clearly but it turns out that the person has been framed. The series will unravel tales of elaborate whodunnit murder mysteries that lead police to one suspect, only to discover later their suspect was framed by the actual killer — each episode will focus on a unique case. 'Framed By The Killer' will premiere on Friday, January 15, 2021, at 9/8c.

Plot

The official synopsis for 'Framed By The Killer' states: The limited series, 'Framed By The Killer' unravels tales of elaborate whodunnit murder mysteries that lead police to one suspect, only to discover later their suspect was framed by the actual killer.  As each episode explores a unique case, viewers embark on a twisted journey riddled with clues that ultimately reveal nothing is what it seems. 

In the premiere episode, a successful entrepreneur is found dead on the side of the road. When unexpected clues are found during the autopsy, investigators uncover a devious sex cult and are drawn into the religion of Santeria, ultimately revealing a killer no one ever suspected.

'Framed By The Killer' is produced by The Content Group with Steven Michaels, Jodi Flynn, James Macnab, Arvin Bautista, and Brian Knappmiller serving as executive producers, along with Final Level Entertainment with Ice-T and Jorge Hinojosa serving as executive producers.
