Social media users are furious after Fox Nation host Nancy Grace called Kyle Rittenhouse a 'vigilante' in one of her shows. According to Fox News, Grace "took a deep dive into the Kyle Rittenhouse case". "Will his claim of self-defense sway the jury?" Grace asked. She also questioned whether it was possible to have two narratives to be true: "A teen vigilante was out with a high-powered weapon looking for trouble, loaded for bear — and shoot in self-defense?"

Rittenhouse is on trial for the shootings of Joseph Rosenbaum, Anthony Huber and Gaige Grosskreutz during the Kenosha protests in 2020. Support for Rittenhouse has been strong, with people even selling merchandise to help him fund his legal fight. He's also been widely criticized after he was caught wearing a 'Free as f**k' shirt after being released on bail. In many ways, Rittenhouse has become the poster boy for America's divisive politics, which has only gotten more fire since his trial.

Jordan spoke about the case during a break in the testimony of Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse is accused of killing two men and wounding a third during the Jacob Blake protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Jacob S Blake, a 29-year-old Black man, was shot and seriously injured by police officer Rusten Sheskey on October 23, 2020, triggering widespread protests.

Social media slammed Fox Nation's Nancy Grace for referring to Rittenhouse as a 'vigilante', with one user saying, "What's up with Fox News right now...Nancy Grace and panel discuss the Rittenhouse trial with the headline Teen Vigilante Guns Down Three". "People like Nancy Grace and her panel should be ashamed of themselves for their slander and misinformation. it was just labeling this kid as a vigilante and attacking his character and ignoring the crucial evidence proving he acted in self defense," said another.
