Fox News' Greg Gutfeld labels Joe Scarborough 'Trumpaholic' as he unloads on 'Morning Joe' host in furious rant
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Greg Gutfeld did not hold back when it came to mocking MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough, who recently addressed an article written by The New York Times about Donald Trump’s “authoritarian bent.”
In a segment discussing liberals' supposed "addiction" to Trump, Gutfeld mockingly addressed Scarborough, briefly mentioning ABC's daytime talk show, 'The View,' as well as Scarborough's wife and co-host Mika Brzezinski, and President Joe Biden.
Greg Gutfelt takes a dig at Joe Scarborough
On Fox News, Greg Gutfeld started his segment on Donald Trump by talking about “Trump derangement syndrome.”
He said, “So by now, you've heard the phrase Trump Derangement Syndrome. But maybe it's time it graduated from syndrome to disease because while a syndrome refers to symptoms, a disease refers to an established condition, and Trump Derangement is just that.”
“It's a disease much like alcoholism where what defines it is an incapability to process booze, and that delicious MAGA Martini is Trump,” explained Gutfeld.
He added, “No pill can stop it. No therapy dog or therapy llama can alleviate it. Those who have it are already paranoid. But they're also loons with annoying wives who are most susceptible. The most recent victim, Joe Scarborough, who's left emotionally Scarboroughed by the 2016 election.”
“Joe wasn't always like this,” said Gutfeld and continued, “he used to look like a normal person. But now he has the same eyes as the kid playing the banjo in Deliverance," joked Gutfeld as the audience laughed.
He added, "It's amazing. Could be the same person. Same age, really. And as you'll see eventually, your mental functions totally deteriorate to the point where even The View is over your head.”
Following that, Gutfeld played a clip from 'Morning Joe' as a "public service" to illustrate what a "Trumpaholic sounds like. In the clip, Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Al Sharpton were discussing Trump.
Greg Gutfeld backs Donald Trump
After the clip concluded, Greg Gutfeld briefly referenced Mika Brzezinski, Scarborough's co-host and wife, saying, "I just keep wondering what she's thinking while he's doing that."
He added, "Sorry, Bevis, we are looking at Trump’s past, and it's pretty easy given he's the most investigated, transparent political leader in history."
"And I said transparent, not translucent like Biden's see-through skin," Gutfeld mocked. "And so far, no imprisoning, executions, no ending of democracy in sight. But it's clear how the ugliness of addiction could sap your memory and reasoning ability."
