Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt who co-hosts ‘Fox & Friends’ has said that Donald Trump watching 'every show' is proof of his strong work ethics in a bizarre defense of the outgoing president. The Republican is leaving the White House on Wednesday, January 20, even before the swearing-in ceremony of Joe Biden and vice-president-elect Kamala Harris. In his four-year tenure as the leader of the US, Trump has been criticized zillions of times. He also received condemnation for his response towards the coronavirus pandemic that reportedly took 400,000 lives, his continuous allegations of voter fraud, and his alleged involvement in the January 6 riots at the Capitol building that killed five people, including a police officer.

However, despite all of this, Earhardt was all praises for the 74-year-old as she said while in conversation with Fox News contributor Kristen Soltis Anderson, “They'll criticize President Trump but no one can argue—he is a worker. He doesn't drink alcohol. He stays up late at night. He watches every show. He's working. He got to work immediately." But the internet was not convinced with Earhardt’s statement as one person said, “He stays up late at night and watches shows. Lol!!! That’s not a skill set that’s a teenager. These peoples need to protect white mediocrity is pathetic.” The second user commented, “We are witnessing the largest under-reaction to a violent insurrection led by a sitting president in the history of humankind, folks. It’s cause the Republican Party/trump are experts at one thing: Denying the premise of reality and convincing people anti-government is government.”

“Such a lot in common with Hitler! He didn't smoke or drink either, went to bed extremely late, and spent huge parts of the day poring over his coverage in every newspaper. On the other hand, Adolf didn't spend countless hours golfing, so he probably scored higher as a 'worker',” the third user joked, while the fourth one tweeted, “Job duties of president of the united states, according to ainsley earhardt 1) hold rallies 2) watch fox news.” “Setting aside the hysterically funny false premise that trump was a “worker”, nothing she’s saying makes any sense. She’s criticizing Biden for getting to work on immigration on day one, because he should be focused on the pandemic the TV watching guy ignored for an entire year?” the fifth one mentioned.

“Hysterical. Oh, and she forgot to mention all that golf course work, and those many phone calls he made and meetings he took during the last month of his ‘presidency’,” the sixth user wrote and the seventh one added: “He watches every show - there’s a ringing endorsement of a work ethic - what’s he watching, the Kardashians? How about reading every newspaper? Briefing papers? And I don’t know...mebbe the Constitution? Don’t let the door hit ya Trump.”

Meanwhile, another report stated that the White House released the recorded farewell address of the outgoing president in which he wished “luck” to the Joe Biden administration, but did not directly name him. Trump said, “This week, we inaugurate a new administration and pray for its success in keeping America safe and prosperous. We extend our best wishes, and we also want them to have luck – a very important word.”
