Netflix is all set to launch the streaming services' first Japenese live-action original series titled 'Followers.' It showcases the lifestyle of women living in Japan's capital Tokyo. The nine-episode series will depict Tokyo's vibrant vibe and explore themes of ambition and fashion.

Plot
The official synopsis of the upcoming series reads, "When an aspiring actress hits it big thanks to a candid Instagram post, the lives of several Tokoyo women cross as they struggle to define happiness IRL."
The storyline will follow the lives of a few women who are influenced by the bustling city around them and how it influences their lives. The narrative will largely follow Limi, a fashion photographer, who reaches a high level of fame after capturing a candid post of Natsume, who is on the search for success and identity.
Natsume's life instantly changes when she gains fame and recognition from the post and their celebrity status goes on to not only affect them but the people around them.

Miki Nakatani
Miki Nakatani, a Japanese actress and singer is most knows for her role in the 1998 Japanese supernatural psychological horror film 'Ring.'
Other cast members include Elaiza Ikeda, Mari Natsuki, Yuka Itaya, KOM_I, Mika Nakashima, Shuhei Uesugi, Nobuaki Kaneko, Yutaro.

Mika Ninagawa
The series is directed by Mika Ninagawa, a Tokoyo-based photographer, she is known for her brightly colored photographs of flowers, goldfish, and landscapes. She has also directed 'Diner' and 'No Longer Human.'
