DALLAS COUNTY, TEXAS: Brittany Dawn Davis is ready to "fight back". The Texas social media fitness influencer, who is currently facing trial in Dallas over the allegations of scamming her clients into buying her online personalized fitness and nutrition plans, which promised unrealistic results, finally commented on the situation.

Davis opened up about the trial in an Instagram post that she posted on March 13, 2023. She wrote, "[M]y time to fight back is here. [J]ust over 4 years. [T]hat's how long I've remained composed, silent, and have patiently waited on the Lord. 35,856 hours of my life that I have wept with reverence for Him as I kept hearing ‘do not speak up yet' as I sat wayside while strangers on the internet slandered, harassed, defamed, stalked, and destroyed my reputation."

'They have no idea'

The fitness influencer also said that she has remained silent so far while social media has invented narratives about her and come after her home, family, and life. "They have no idea who they're messing with", she added.

"[T]here is a fire building within my heart – like a lion roaring on the inside of me. [I]f you think you’ll never be found behind an anonymous account and be held accountable for damages, threats, defamation, and slander… think again. Christians might be gentle, but we are not soft", she continued.

On her Youtube channel, Davis also posted a video on Tuesday with the title, 'The Tea: It's Trial Week', where she briefly discusses the trial while showing her viewers her morning routine.

In the video, she says, "This week is a little bit different. I can't speak on it yet, but you better believe I will when it's done. It's the trial week for me. There is so much that I wish I could say, and I can't. I'm just not comfortable sharing anything about this lawsuit and this trial."

Weight loss plan went wrong

Davis, who is the owner of Brittany Dawn Fitness LLC, is accused of misleading women about "personalized" diet programs and offering clients who have anorexia $300 weight loss plans as part of a fitness regime. Reportedly, the influencer had claimed to assist thousands of women by offering fitness packages ranging in price from $92 to $300 and including customized health plans, coaching services, exercise advice, and nutrition advice.

According to a complaint filed in early 2022, the customized plans and guidance were never fulfilled, the program broke consumer protection rules, misled those who suffer from eating disorders, and engaged in dishonest business methods to attract customers.

Apparently, Davis's trial was originally slated to begin on Monday, March 6, according to court documents, but it has been officially delayed as there were several pending trials ahead of hers, according to a report by BuzzFeed News. The delays also reportedly seem to be tied to over $1.3 million in transactions made to Davis’s PayPal, derived from consumer payments through Defendants’ website," but her legal team has apparently only handed over receipts for a total of $169,000 in payments.
