The world is still buzzing over the phenomenon that was Deadpool 2 — with the few months since the movie's release hardly having any affect on the craze about the movie that is currently the 5th highest grossing movie worldwide in 2018.

But bigger news and further additions to the plot have arrived in the form of Omega Red being revealed to the public at the SDCC this year. Omega Red — the Marvel villain — was left out of the final cut of the second installment of the Deadpool franchise, but to celebrate the movie's massive box office success, an uncut version is being screened at the 2018 SDCC, with 'Deadpool 2' makeup artist, Bill Corso, all set to promote the event with a sneak peek at the villainous character who never made it to the big screen.

Corso had initially posted a photo of the character on his Instagram account and spilled that NFL newbie Dakoda Shepley of the New York Jets played the character in the film.

Post that, Corso also shared some "blink-and-you-miss-them" mutant cameos too that had been initially filmed for the movie but never made it to the final cut.

But Omega Red stands out with his stellar, recognizable looks as his inclusion in the franchise was considered a pretty huge deal for all Marvel fans.

Speaking at the Deadpool 2 SDCC panel, Corso said: "To celebrate the SDCC showing of our special, Mega Fan only, Deadpool 2: the Unrated Cut, I've decided to show the, blink and you'll miss them, Mutant Villains of the Ice Box Prison. Some characters from the Marvel Universe hidden here are Omega Red, and various others from sifting through the FOX approved X-Men Universe."

In addition to that, the Blu-ray edition of 'Deadpool 2' is also going to feature a deleted scene titled 'Chess with Omega Red,' where presumably the sassy Marvel hero is going to battle the villain in a... rather interesting game of chess? Fans will have to wait for the SDCC premiere - due to happen on Saturday night - to fight out exactly what is going down in that scene.

'Deadpool 2' at the SDCC will be the only Marvel presence at the event this year. The panel is expected to occur at Hall H on Saturday evening with the Super Duper cut premiering at 10:00 pm Pacific Time. Since it is being promised as a night with Deadpool and friends, speculations about Ryan Reynolds -- who plays the titular role -- being present along with the rest of the cast for the "super duper cut," even though there have been no confirmations, are rife.

However, one can expect loads of inappropriate scenes from the initial cut of the film that couldn't make it through the final cut!
