'Filthy Rich' Episode 9 'Romans 12:21': Who killed reporter Luke? This confession from [spoiler] will stun you

Margaret will always be there for her family and to so much of an extent that she's willing to cover for a murder

Spoilers for 'Filthy Rich' Episode 9 'Romans 12:21'

In the last episode of FOX's 'Filthy Rich', we saw the death of reporter Luke Taylor (Cranston Johnson). While this episode also saw the deaths of Reverend Paul Luke Thomas (Aaron Lazar) and Hagamond Sheen (Thomas Francis Murphy), we were all most concerned as to who killed Luke? Well, this episode gave us the answer, it was none other than our confused Monreaux heir Eric Monreaux (Corey Cott).

After Jesus was found, Eric felt guilt rip over him and ran and confessed to his mother that he was the one that had accidentally killed Luke. He went there to get Luke off track of writing a story that would expose the Monreaux family, something even Paul had given Luke evidence for. Eric saw his mother's name and picture on Luke's wall and when he tried to go take him down, Luke came in the way and fell down - all Eric heard was a splutter and "lots and lots of blood." He confessed to his mother that he had ran away from the crime scene. 

While we knew it wasn't Hagamond that killed Luke, we didn't know it would have been Eric, what a horrible legacy to leave behind. "I cannot believe it was Eric. WTF. So many twists. #FilthyRichFOX," wrote one fan. Another added, "Oh, Eric killing Luke. I was thinking of something different. #FilthyRichFOX."

Of course, Margaret is too prideful and claims "no son of mine is a killer" and tells Eric she'll handle it. "Ummm Margaret. There’s evidence all over your fabulous sofa. Might wanna handle that #FilthyRichFOX," wrote one fan referring to the evidence that Eric stole from Luke's apartment. Another added, "@FilthyRichFOX Eric killed the reporter! I am blown away by that one! Margaret said No son of mine is a killer! Get it Margaret! Handle this mess in your oh so ever they won't see it coming way.  @YMcTier #FilthyRichFOX #KimCattrall #Monday"

Margaret will always be there for her family and to so much of an extent that she's willing to cover for a murder. The end of the episode sees the matriarch burn everything that Eric stole. 

Episode 10, the series finale, airs on Monday, November 30, at 9 pm ET on FOX.
