Spoilers for 'Filthy Rich'

We all know that FOX's Southern Gothic dramedy 'Filthy Rich' has enough tension with relationships to keep us on our toes. It started off with Eugene Monreaux (Gerald McRaney) dying (he's not dead, but only the audience and Luke Taylor knows that) and his wife finding out that he fathered three illiterate children with three different women.

Then we find out that his son with Margaret Monreaux (Kim Cattrall), Eric Monreaux (Corey Cott) was not happy in his marriage to Becky Monreaux (Olivia Macklin) who was pregnant. While that was all okay considering the family had to deal with the 1820 and Eugene's will, we think that this episode's new romantic relationships could hurt the Monreaux family in ways that Margaret isn't anticipating.

We'd also like to add that the two relationships we're going to talk about have been shipped by fans (and us) for a quite a while now. So, we have to admit that we're glad to finally see it unfold.

Becky and Ginger

In the last episode, we saw Becky reveal to her brother Reverend Paul Luke Thomas (Aaron Lazar) that she was having dark thoughts that involved people out of her marriage. Of course, Paul, being the manipulative person he is reminded her that she was carrying Eric's baby, the true heir to the Monreaux fortune. However, in the same episode, we saw Becky act on her feelings and kiss her brother's half-sister (Eric and Ginger share the same father, Eugene) Ginger Sweet (Melia Kreiling).

In this episode, we saw that Becky was a tad bit jealous when she found that Ginger slept with Luke Taylor (Cranston Johnson), the reporter that has been digging into the Monreaux family trying to find out the truth when it comes to corruption, criminal activity and Eugene's probably planned plane crash. Becky and Ginger even talk about their kiss in the kitchen of the Monreaux farmhouse, in this episode, with Becky revealing that she's trapped and that her actions have consequences.

Although, after Ginger helps Rose Monreaux (Aubrey Dollar) throw a fantastic fashion line debut, things take a much different turn. During the fashion show, Ginger gives Becky the best dress that ends the show — a white gown, with wings — and her confidence showed as she even showed off her belly. Her husband Eric saw his wife on the ramp and decided to break it off with Rachel (Aqueela Zoll) quickly wanting to do right by his wife.

Little did he know that Becky and Rachel had already spoken and Becky knew about the affair. After the show, Becky tells Ginger she doesn't want to go home, and Ginger tells her "let's get you of of that dress." They go to Ginger's morel room, and Becky locks the door telling Ginger, "set me free." Ginger unzips Beckys dress and kisses Becky's neck and the rest was history.

'Filthy Rich' (FOX)

How does this affect the Monreaux family, you ask? Well, first we don't know how Eric would take it when he finds out that his pregnant wife is into women. Secondly, the Monreaux can't handle another scandal considering Eugene's was a big one. Further, Margaret would not be happy if she finds out that her daughter-in-law is lesbian, and she definitely wouldn't want that to get out.

The Monreaux family business is built on public affection especially when it comes to the Sunny Club — an extension of their business where 20% of the profit will go back to helping the faith. While many may not consider this a scandal, the people that support and uphold the Monreaux family as a Christian family might seriously detest the news if it ever went public. Not to mention, now that Eric broke up with Rachel, what does he do considering Becky seems to want nothing to do with him?

Margaret and Franklin

This episode had a lot of revelations, and we got to see how much of the past Margaret and Franklin Lee (Steve Harris) share. Franklin has always been in love with Margaret, and now for the first time, she seems to be reciprocating his love. When they were young, Margaret was "thrown to the wolves" by her mother who wanted her to be noticed by Eugene, a child of the rich folk.

Since then though, both Margaret and Franklin have gotten rich but only Margaret had the reputation. At the end of this episode, we see Margaret and Franklin share a passionate kiss after they've spent the day reminiscing about their childhood. When they go into Margaret's bedroom, Frankling tells her "if we do this, it changes everything," to which Margaret replies, "I hope so." Now, there is so much truth to what Franklin said.

'Filthy Rich' (FOX)

A few hours before he met Margaret at her home, Frankling was approached by Reverend Paul who tries to recruit him to the 1820's dirty deals. Franklin however remains loyal to his true love and turns down Paul's bribe. Although, we do know that it's the Monreaux money Paul is after — is Margaret now a bigger threat if she has a public relationship with Franklin?

Not to mention, we know that Eugene is still alive, and while we may not know if he's coming home soon, Margaret is actually not a widow and is still married. While we want Franklin and Margaret to be happy, we really hope that Margaret watches her step when it comes to the public eye.

Episode 8 airs on Monday, November 16, at 9 pm ET on FOX.
