When will 'FBI: Most Wanted' Season 2 return to CBS? Here's what to expect from Jess after the break
Spoilers for 'FBI: Most Wanted'
The winter finale — Season 2 Episode 3 — of CBS' 'FBI: Most Wanted' titled 'Deconflict' aired today with a hectic episode. As the task force chased after a murderous criminal that killed a woman's husband before kidnapping her, we were also introduced to Amy Carlson's Jackie Ward, a bounty hunter. Season 2 Episode 4, unfortunately, will not air next week, meaning that there were only three episodes for the fall release of Season 2. The reason for this, as per reports, could be the fact that there wasn't time to film more episodes due to the earlier delay in production because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The official date for the return of Season 2 has been announced for January 12, 2021, on CBS and will bring us a lot more drama and interpersonal relationships.
What we can expect moving on in the series are more dangerous and disturbing cases as that is the norm, but we're also expecting to see more about the individuals on the team. Jess LaCroix (Julian McMahon) has his father, Byron LaCroix (Terry O'Quinn), and his fiancee Marie Smith (Rachel York) over at his home, and he does not like how Byron is "putting on an act" for his granddaughter (Jess' daughter) Tali LaCroix (YaYa Gosselin). Byron is a gambling addict and he does not have a good relationship with his son Jess, so Jess wants to protect his daughter Tali from how Byron once abandoned the idea of parenting when Jess was young. We're hoping to see more of that since we've only seen this father-son dynamic in Episode 1 'Rampage' and Episode 3 'Deconflict'.
We're also expecting to see more on Hanah Gibson (Keisha Castle-Hughes) who had revealed that she was adopted, and while her biological father is dead, her biological mother is still alive. Will Hanah contact her mother as Jess had suggested? Not to mention we're definitely going to be seeing more of Jackie Ward since she is now a "recurring character", so maybe she will be helping out the team in future cases as a bounty hunter — her arc has just begun.
'FBI: Most Wanted' airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm EST on CBS.
