'You look radiant!' Fans react as Susan Lucci enjoys dinner with celebrity chef Lidia Bastianich
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fans were ecstatic to see Susan Lucci enjoy an Italian dinner at a New York City restaurant with the legendary celebrity chef Lidia Bastianich on Wednesday night, April 12. The actress, best known for portraying Erica Kane on the ABC daytime drama 'All My Children', posted a photo of her beside the 'MasterChef USA' guest judge.
"Italian dinner on steroids last night at Becco with this legendary chef herself!!!" Susan Lucci captioned the picture. The soap star's husband, Helmut Huber, died in March 2022 at 84. Huber, who was an Austrian chef and businessman, and Lucci were married for 53 years. Lucci has kept the memory of the love of her life alive on social media.

'So many happy times together'
Lucci marked the ninth month of her husband's death on New Year's Eve by posting a photo of him kissing her in a restaurant. She captioned the post, "So many happy times together." She shared a meditation book that helped her in her grief - 'Healing After Loss' by Martha W Hickman - in August.
Lucci is not looking to date yet
Lucci revealed that strangers tried to match her with a new man in February. She said Helmut Huber had a "very special big presence," and she is not looking to date yet. "Everybody's different, and I just miss him, and he's worth missing. He was the love of my life", she said, according to People.
Massive blockage in Lucci's heart
A scan revealed that the actress had a massive blockage in her heart's main artery, a genetic condition from her dad's side, and had two stents placed. "I didn't realize how close I came to a fatal heart attack," she told People. A second blockage occurred in January 2021, this time from cholesterol. Admittedly, she indulged in "comfort food" during the pandemic, which is "not her normal way of eating."

Delighted fans flooded Lucci's Instagram post with joyous comments. "So glad you are getting out and enjoying life! You look radiant!" a fan gushed. Another commented, "I'm so happy to see you out and about and enjoying life!
