KRONPLATZ MOUNTAIN, ITALY: Mikaela Shiffrin of Team United States won her 83rd World Cup race on Tuesday, January 24, and broke a tie on the all-time women's list with Lindsey Vonn, a former American skier. Breaking the record, she secured first place in the giant slalom at the Kronplatz held in Italy and fans hail her as the 'greatest of all time'. The skier is now only three wins away from breaking Swedish skier Ingemar Stenmark's record of 86 World Cup wins for a man or woman.

“It’s hard to find words actually,” the two-time Olympic gold medalist told Eurosport. “I don’t think there are words to explain all the feelings. During the day it’s stressful, sometimes peaceful, sometimes nervous, sometimes excited,” she added. The American skier made her record-breaking performance in the giant slalom race and with the fastest first run out of her competitors, she set the pace at a time of 58.72. With a second run time of 1:01.89, Shiffrin marked an end to the winning day.

At the same time, someone remarked, "Can we finally say that Mikaela is the Greatest American female athlete of all time? Yes. Simone Biles, Serena...Ledecka....but Mikaela is far and away more dominant in her sport. And she is still 27."

It’s a new level of dominance that the sports world has never seen before."

Champion of Champions, BRAVO! an infinite times over!!," a fan remarked while someone opined, "What a classy afternoon overall. Mikaela wins with class and humility.
