Fans furious as 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty' undergoes title change, call the move 'dumb idea'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The upcoming Avengers movie, originally titled 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty' is getting renamed, as per The Hollywood Reporter. The rumored decision comes to the fore after actor Jonathan Majors, who played Kang the Conqueror in 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania', got convicted of harassment and assault.
Majors was dropped by Marvel Studios after the guilty verdict, leaving fans uncertain whether the character would be recast or eliminated from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Hollywood Reporter has disclosed that the studio has been exploring strategies to reduce the character's prominence following the lackluster performance of 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' at the box office. The Paul Rudd starrer grossed $476.1 million globally.

Fans are now demanding to recast the character, highlighting he wasn't the reason behind the film's underwhelming performance.
A fan wrote, "Omg just recast him, Kang wasn’t the problem with Quantumania it was the poor writing. Ham stringing Dr Doom in would be terrible they need to get Doom right he’s easily one of the greatest villains in all of comics. Thus he should have his own origin film solely on him."

Marvel Studios hasn't announced a new title for 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty' yet
Despite the floating reports regarding the rebranding, Marvel Studios has not yet announced a new title. The official website of Marvel is still using the title 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty', which indicates that they are still to make an official change.
The MCU title is scheduled to hit the theaters on May 1, 2026.
