'Bachelor in Paradise' Season 8: Fans cringe at Ashley's fart fest on live TV, demand less screentime
VALLARTA, MEXICO: 'Bachelor in Paradise' is now airing a new episode, and fans have bashed one of the show's running plots. Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon will appear on both October 10 and 11 episodes, which disappointed many.
Ashley and Jared's arrival in Paradise is more than what meets the eye. The pair, who met on the beach and are now married with a child, arrived in Mexico on 'Bachelor in Paradise,' informing the singles that they were there on a romantic holiday and willing to answer any questions in the interim. However, Wells Adams, 'BiP's bartender, indicated that there is more to the story. "I think everyone's a little confused as to what the hell they're doing there, which I think is hilarious," he remarked, laughing. "I know what happens with them, so I think it's going to be great and funny."

In Tuesday's episode of 'Bachelor in Paradise,' the couple showed what a reality TV dating success story looks like: being so relaxed with your partner that you can fart in bed. Ashley Iaconetti Haibon, who appeared on Chris Soules' season of 'The Bachelor' in 2015 as Ashley I. (a.k.a. "The crying girl"), and her hubby Jared Haibon showed up in the ABC TV series to mentor present contestants on how to explore dating in 'Bachelor Nation' and provide optimism that you can find love on 'BiP' (though it doesn't appear to be working for contestants Logan and Shanae and Justin and Genevieve).
Ashley and Jared, who met on the spinoff series 'Bachelor in Paradise,' were one of the franchise's most popular couples. They married in 2019 and had their first kid this year. "I love you today more than ever," Jared said to Ashley in the October 3 episode. He also stated that he was looking forward to some alone time with his lady, but she put a damper on the mood when she let out some flatulence on October 10 episode.
"Oh, God," he said, waving his nose in the air.
Ashley said, "I’m sorry, I’m embarrassed." But, well, that's love for you.
Perhaps the network meant to show its viewers how love flares on this beach, but viewers at home were unprepared for the fart fest that lasted for quite some time. Fans slam the network for portraying Ashley the way they did on the Tuesday episode: "It’s so demeaning to Ashley to agree on the show to fart in bed and pee in the ocean. Notice they don’t have him doing these things. This show has gone downhill." Not buying their narrative of the Bachelor Mom and Dad, a fan wrote: "Okay but like Ashley and Jared are absolutely not an example of #BachelorInParadise working, they’re an example of continuing to hang out with bachelor nation years after you’re off the show working." Questioning if the network is trying to throw a spinoff in the mix, a fan tweeted: "Why are the producers trying so hard to make Jared and Ashley happen? Are they trying to pitch a spinoff? This makes no sense and it’s so dull." Suggesting the show could have made the couple the new hosts of the show, another viewer wrote: "If y’all wanted this much Jared and Ashley then you should have just made them the hosts."

Slamming the show for wasting screentime on the already married couple, a fan wrote: "JARED AND ASHLEY WERENT EVEN ONE BIT SUCCESSFUL IN PARADISE AND NOT A SINGLE SOUL ON EARTH ASKED TO WASTE SCREENTIME ON A DATE OF THEIRS WHEN WE JUST WANT TO SEE MESS ON THE BEACH." Unhappy with the fact that they had to sit through the couple's unexpected Boom Boom room experience, a fan tweeted: "I simply do not need to know about Ashley Iaconetti’s bowel movements." Wanting to see more of other couples progressing, a viewer wrote: "We already saw ashley cry in 2016, can we rest and focus on MICHAEL AND SIERRA OR SOMETHING." Accusing the couple for putting a show for the camera, a fan tweeted: "anyone else feeling like ashley and jared are putting on a show for the cameras? no real like couple acts like this." Not happy with the couple getting a Date Card, a fan wrote: "i would like to be compensated financially for #BIP subjecting me to A ONE ON ONE DATE for a couple that is already married."
