Spoilers for Season 19 Episode 2: 'Talented Mr Stewie'

Stewie Griffin is quite the vindictive icon, isn't he? As Quahog's favorite toddler obsessed with "the Marvellous Mrs Maisel", it only makes sense that the precocious kid's father Peter Griffing would obsess over 'Young Sheldon'. Perhaps the Griffin patriarch empathizes with the Cooper one, or heaven knows it could be one of those whimsical Peter things, but it's his sons we are more concerned about in this episode. Stewie, who had recently learned to talk like the rest of Quahog, tries to exact revenge on his older brother Chris and almost kills him! The real question is why.

Titled 'Talented Mr Stewie’ the official synopsis of Season 19 Episode 2 reveals: “Stewie breaks up with Rupert after learning that he used to belong to Chris; unable to get over his feelings of betrayal, Stewie decides to take action.” It is this very plan of action that gets an unsuspecting Chris into trouble. While it might look like getting Stewie to shut up once he finally started talking was the biggest trouble the Griffins were going to face, his maniacal laughter tempting and luring his brother Chris into dinner looks like a bigger problem. We all know and can very well estimate what's coming next. Stewie is a man of vengeance and although he might spend significant time oddly auditioning for and fantasizing about climbing the ranks of the cast, crew, and creators of Mrs Maisel - getting on stage to accept the Emmys with them, more specifically, his brains works the other way too.

So Stewie does what he does best, puts on his charm and best behavior suit on and checks in on his brother as the initiation of his elaborate plan to take him and Rupert - his giraffe stuffed toy down. All of this for a stuffed toy might seem too much, but such is the satirical charm of 'Family Guy'. Stewie exacts his revenge by beating the crap out of Chris and trying to dup his unconscious self in the local lake nearby. But something clicks in the final moments of his masterplan and the little child decides against his own plan.

The scenes of Stewie trying to retrieve Chris's unconscious dollop of a frame from the lake are the funniest as he tries rowing him out and breaking the row and anchoring him back to the boat and toppling it over among other things. All of this in the aftermath of a baby toddler deciding to kill his brother over a stuffed animal might try to take the menacing charm away from what a psychopath Stewie is, but the kid's been talking to their family's talking dog Brian since birth so are we really surprised here?

'Family Guy' Season 19 airs on Sundays at 9.30 pm ET only on Fox.
