Why did 'Family Guy' Season 19 Episode 3 not air this week? Here's when Fox comedy returns and what to expect
Things are heating up in the Griffin fandom as the Fox comedy takes yet another week off. As soon as the official Twitter account of the show announced that there won't be any new episode airing tonight, fans flocked to the comments section to express their disappointment. But why isn't the comedy airing for the second week in a row? Wondering when it will return to your screens next? Worry not, read on. We've got some answers in store.
For those who still left confused by the Griffin's Sunday night 8.30 pm slot getting replaced by a bunch of men in jerseys — 'Family Guy' did not air tonight because of the World Series. The Major League Baseball's annual championship held its highly anticipated finals tonight, but clearly, 'Family Guy' fans were not having any of that sports cutting into their favorite sitcom.
A jilted fan complained, "oh i seen the proof a damn football game airing instead was the same b.s last week." Another added: "No new Family Guy this week because of baseball again."

One particular gleeful tweet quipped "Already watched it cause you delayed it but Canada didn't!" Sucks, but fret not. This is the last week of Fox deciding to cut air time for 'Family Guy' as Episode 4 of Season 19, which should have aired this week, is returning just next Sunday on November 1.
Titled 'Cutaway Land', the episode will see Peter and Lois and their infamous cutaways gags as the two keep getting transported to the scenarios every single time. Partly deja vu and partly just a bunch of hilarious, expectedly outrageous flashbacks clipped together, the episode is going to be nothing short of a thrilling ride for loyal fans who will have waited for over a fortnight for the episode to finally air on TV.
The episode comes after the previous one's squirrel disaster, where Peter's sons Chris and Stewie spent time caring for the squirrels, nursing them back to health while their father busied himself in getting his back realigned so he could go back to his actual height. That Stewie and Chris were back to speaking terms after the toddler tried killing his teenage brother for owning the stuffed animal toy he currently possesses is a miracle in itself, but such is the charm of sitcoms.
You don't necessarily need a flow, and when there's too much of it, there are always cutaway gags to fall back on. ‘Family Guy’ Season 19 airs on Sundays at 9.30 pm ET/ 8.30 pm CT on FOX.
