LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Prime Video's latest series 'Fallout', in its first episode, set a thrilling premise revolving around Hank MacLean's (Kyle MacLachlan) abduction from Vault 33.

The abduction put his daughter, Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell), on a dangerous mission to locate him while dealing with the adversities of a post-apocalyptic world.

Very early in the series, it is established that Hank has been abducted by Moldaver (Sarita Choudhury), who came from Earth's surface. However, the motive behind her act remained a mystery until it was finally revealed in the finale episode.

When Lucy presents Wilzig's (Michael Emerson) head to Maldevor and requests Hank's freedom in exchange, the revelation from Maldevor leaves Lucy completely stunned.

Moldaver discloses that her father existed from pre-apocalypse time and kept this fact hidden from both her and her mother, Rose MacLean.

She explains that when her mother discovered clues about Earth's rehabilitation and shared them with Hank, she was silenced.

Moldaver reveals to Lucy that her mother didn't die but fled the Vault with her children to build a new life on Earth's surface in Shady Sands.

However, Hank also pursued her. When Rose refused to return, he forcibly took the children from her and destroyed Shady Sands with a massive bomb, wiping out the town and its thousands of residents.

Moldaver further explains that she kidnapped Hank because she needs a code from him to activate Cold Fusion. She insists that she will only release Hank once he provides the code.

Lucy is devastated upon discovering her father's brutal action against her mother and the thousands of residents of Shady Sands. She always viewed Hank as a kind man, making it difficult for her to accept this new revelation.

Despite her heartbreak, she convinces Hank to provide the code to Moldaver, a decision he makes out of love for his daughter and in hopes of regaining his freedom.

Hank shows no remorse for his actions and justifies them by claiming he made the right choices, including the attack on her mother, whom he believed exposed their children to danger.

When Maximus (Aaron Moten) arrives, he sets Hank free. Hank sneaks into a power armor when Lucy is busy telling Maximus the reality of her father.

Learning the truth about Hank, Maximus is incapacitated before he can act, as Hank knocks him down. The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) also confronts Hank, but before the confrontation can escalate, Hank manages to escape.

The climax of 'Fallout' hints that Hank hasn't returned to Vault 33 but has instead gone to an undisclosed location, likely where the vault's masterminds operate.

Meanwhile, The Ghoul pursues Hank, taking Lucy along to uncover the lingering mysteries surrounding the vaults and The Ghoul's own family. The series concludes on this cliffhanger, leaving the audience eagerly anticipating another season.

'Fallout' is now available on Prime Video.
