Fans have been eagerly been waiting for Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), aka The Falcon, to don the iconic Captain America suit and become the nation’s hero. However, his journey hasn’t been easy, and had to go through a lot of hardships to finally get his hands on the shield.

In Episode 5, we saw Sam and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) indulging in an epic battle against John Walker (Wyatt Russell). After an insane fighting sequence, Bucky and Sam are finally able to take the iconic shield away from Walker. Following a little pep talk with the former Winter Soldier himself, Sam made it clear that he's ready to become what Steve Rogers wanted him to be all along.

Bucky hands him a mysterious briefcase that came all the way from Wakanda which would surely assist Sam in his fight against the evil forces.

The stage is set for Sam to become what he always wanted to be and fans cannot wait to see that amazing moment. However, a TV promo seems to have ruined the special moment for fans.

A television promo for the highly popular series has revealed what’s inside the Wakandan briefcase. Let’s dig a little deeper and see what the new promo is all about.

The short clip shows various scenes from the entire series, including some really dramatic scenes from Episode 5. We also see the mid-credits scene of John Walker (Wyatt Russell) making his own shield. On the other hand, it also features Sam giving up the shield to the government.

The promo ends with Sam opening the mysterious briefcase and soaring through the night sky in his new costume. Yes, you heard it right. The mysterious thing in the Wakandan briefcase is the new red-white-and-blue Captain America costume.

The new costume seems to be made of "vibranium" and has the ability to withstand anything that comes his way. Sam clearly had a disadvantage in his fight against the evil because his Falcon wings were destroyed by Walker during their altercation.  This new suit not only gives him the strength he needs but also provides a chance for Sam to don the costume that legendary Steve Rogers once wore.

It's worth noting that the promo states that all episodes of the series are now streaming on Disney+, meaning that the video was possibly scheduled to be released after the season finale.

A previous toy leak in January 2021 suggested that Falcon will indeed become the new Captain America. The box features Mackie on the front, and the uniform is quite similar to the costume Marvel Comics introduced in 2014's ‘All-New Captain America’ series.

‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ returns to Disney+ with new episodes every Friday.
