Faizon Love mocks Jada Smith for attending Oscars 2022 after her 2016 'Oscars so White' boycott
Since Oscars 2022, Will Smith and Jada Smith are not getting a single moment of peace with more and more celebrities airing their feelings on Will Smith's 'Oscars Slapgate'. What is more, their comments are also igniting fan wars and fueling Team Rock Vs Team Smith debates on the interweb. Recently, Faizon Love of ‘Couples Retreat’ discussed how Black celebrities were prepared to boycott the 88th Academy Awards due to a lack of diversity. And Jada Pinkett Smith was one of them.
Back in 2016, the Academy Awards was slammed for solely nominating white actors in the four major categories. Following the snub for Will Smith's leading performance in ‘Concussion’ that year, Jada Pinkett Smith refused to attend the Oscars. Faizon Love, in a VladTV interview, slammed Jada Pinkett Smith for halting her 'Oscars boycott' after her husband, Will Smith, was nominated for 'Best Actor' for 'King Richard'.

During the interview, which VladTV published on Monday, April 18, 2022, Faizon stated, “She just told motherf**king, f**k the Oscars…you know? She was like, 'We're boycotting the Oscars.' " He added, "That year [Chris Rock] was hosting, she asked him to step down…step down from feeding your family." Faizon went on to say, "So here we go. 2016… Will Smith confirmed not going to the Oscars over lack of diversity." Later, he made fun of Jada saying, "When you say that, you can't come when you get…nominated! That's some h*e s**t too, because now you say, 'Oh they're cool now, I'm nominated.' F**k no!"
At the Oscars...people of color are always welcomed to give out awards...even entertain, (pt. 1)

"At the Oscars … people of colour are always welcomed to give out awards … even entertain." Jada tweeted in 2016. Jada added, "But we are rarely recognized for our artistic accomplishments. Should people of color refrain from participating all together? People can only treat us in the way in which we allow. With much respect in the midst of deep disappointment." In her post, she also included the hashtag #OscarssoWhite.

But when Will Smith's performance as the father of tennis players Venus and Serena Williams in King Richard began to garner Oscar buzz, everything seemed to change. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith were both present at the ceremony to hear Will Smith's name being announced as the 'Best Actor' winner, and he gave a heartfelt acceptance speech. In situations like these, when famous celebrities go against what they say, it not only puts pressure on them but also on those who supported them in the past.
Not surprisingly, Chris Rock has also previously mocked Jada Smith. When Chris Rock presented the 88th Academy Awards, he first called out Jada Pinkett Smith's boycott, saying, "Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna's panties." The actress stated that the joke didn't bother her and that she was determined to "keep moving." Now in the Oscars 2022, when Chris Rock made a joke about her hair condition, things started to heat up that led to a slap in the face. What are your thoughts on Chris Rock and Jada Smith’s actions?
