'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives': Maheep thinks MILF is a compliment, Internet says 'money can't buy class'

Maheep's views on how she perceives the word MILF didn't sit well with her husband Sanjay Kapoor but he's not alone. The Internet also called her out for 'justifying objectification'

Maheep Kapoor, castmate on Netflix's newest offering, the 'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives', has been drawing a lot of flak for a lot of reasons after the seven-part series dropped. In the very first episode, the wife of erstwhile actor Sanjay Kapoor was seen harping about her daughter Shanaya Kapoor's Le Bal debut in Paris. She spoke about it constantly for two consecutive episodes, leaving fans cringing.

One of the biggest reasons she's facing criticism on the Internet is when she brought up the word MILF suddenly at a gathering, and she managed to rub off her husband as well as the Internet the wrong way with it.

All four wives: Neelam Kothari Soni, Seema Khan, Bhavana Panday and Maheep along with their husbands were out at dinner. After some jokes about Chunky Panday's obsession with the bathroom to a short discussion about a beach clean-up, Maheep randomly threw in a question. She pointed to all husbands present at the table and asked if they knew what MILF meant.

Neelam's husband fleshed out the full form, stunning Chunky and Sanjay. In a green room interview, Maheep said she brought up the conversation because this lingo was used by millenials and she was just introducing the group to it. While everyone laughed awkwardly after discussing the word, Sanjay didn't engage. His smile was wiped clean and grimace overtook his generally cheerful visage.

Maheep tried to get him to speak out what he felt but he just kept quiet, visibly embarrassed by what had happened and Seema chimed in at that point saying she relates with Sanjay as she too at one point felt that the word wasn't meant as a compliment. However, Maheep insisted it was and she reiterated the same in her green view interview saying, "take it as a f**king compliment".

The internet, just like Maheep's husband Sanjay, was in disgust with the way she perceived the word. "Lmao Bollywood moms really got it wrong bro milf is not a compliment. It's where boys first become disrespectful towards other powerful women (who are not their own moms' cuz that's weird AF) n sexually objectify them because they don't know any better," tweeted a viewer.

"Remember when Maheep said she thinks Milf is a compliment. I mean she's hot yes but that's just plain disrespectful wtf," wrote another. "In the ‘Fabulous lives of Bollywood Wives’, the Bollywood wives think MILF is a compliment; and if this is not justifying and being happy about objectification, IDK what is!" read another tweet. "It's funny to see Maheep cannot form a single sentence without 'f**k' or 'shit'. Tells a lot how they think cussing or using slang like 'MILF' 'Stupid Cow' 'B***h' will make them look cool & happening. Money can never buy you class," wrote another.
