‘Ex on the Beach’: Fans furious after Lexi Kaplan breaks Billy Reilich’s heart and gets intimate with ex Max
Billy Reilich, the big boy of ‘Ex on the Beach’, showed his soft, vulnerable side on episode 7 that aired on August 29. Billy was initially with his ex Cara Cooper on the show but parted ways with her as he felt she was coming in way of his next with Lexi Kaplan of the Kaplan twins. Lexi and Billy immediately hit it off, and there were sparks flying all over the place. As they were beginning to get comfortable with each other, Lexi’s ex Max Davis Kurtzman shows up and things head south between Lexi and Billy.
While Lexi kept repeating that she has genuine feelings for Billy, she goes ahead and starts getting very intimate with her ex Max right in front of Billy. Poor Billy feels upset and disrespected by them as they disregard his feelings and rub their relationship in his face. While Lexi tries to pretend like things between Billy and her haven’t changed, Billy feels otherwise.
He feels disconnected from her. Towards the end of the episode, Billy and Lexi sit down to discuss what’s going on between them. While the Kaplan sister tells Billy that she wants things between them to be just as they were before Max’s arrival, a broken-hearted Billy breaks down and tells her that it can never be the same. He cries saying that he feels like he has “no home” since Lexi was his “home”. Lexi’s indifferent reaction to Billy left fans fuming.
A fan who was clearly taken aback by Lexi’s behavior tweeted, “Lexi is just horrible you should've told Billy that you wanted to work things out with your ex instead of sitting there & making out with your ex right in front of him like not cool!! #ExOnTheBeach”. Fans were feeling very sad for Billy. A fan wrote, “TBH I'm crying for Billy right now, can't he just be happy?! #ExOnTheBeach @BillyReilich”. Fans strongly feel that Billy deserves better than Lexi, who just strung him along instead of letting him know that she wanted to work things out with her ex.
