What did the witness say?
"We heard like about 10 gunshots, and we were sitting at the bench, and we thought it was fireworks – so we're like just relaxing. And people are running, and they're like, 'Oh, run, it's gunshots!' So we're like, 'Okay, let's get out of here,'" stated witness Beatrix Kovacs, adding, "And then we are walking this way, and people start screaming: 'There's a body! There's a body!' to the police, and then they started giving him CPR, but I don't know. They took him away." Another witness Ben Maisel said, "I heard some shots and people running, and police converged over here," as per CBS.
'Why not just say they’re still at large?'
Meanwhile, the internet wonders how police can remain confident about the fact that the suspects fled the area. One user asked, "Where are the suspects if they’re not in the area?" Another user mentioned, "So you’re saying the suspects successfully fled from police so it’s safe? Why not just say they’re still at large?" Another person claimed, "How are the police so confident if they didn’t catch the freakin shooters ?!"
"It looks like a police and thief game. for parents a horror movie. how can the police be confident if they haven't arrested the suspects?" remarked one user. "So we don’t need to quarantine anymore since the suspects haven’t been located," said one user.
