Louisville shooting: 1 dead, 1 injured, police look for suspects in second shooting incident of the day

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY: A team of officers has rushed to a community college hours after a mass shooting rocked the Louisville area. As per the latest report, one person has died while one is left injured in the second shooting incident on a Monday morning, April 10. Around 11 am, police officers from the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department left for Jefferson Community and Technical College in Louisville after reports about a shooting outside of the school were made, said police.
In an afternoon press conference, LMPD updated that one male was fatally shot and one was wounded and is under medical care. The alleged shooter or shooters fled the scene and officials are currently carrying out search operations in the area.
"We are confirming that there was a shooting outside and the suspects fled before police arrived. There is no active aggressor at JCTC at 8th Chestnut streets," LMPD posted on its official Twitter handle.

'A lone shooter killed 4 people and injured at least 8 in earlier shooting incident'
In the first shooting incident, a lone shooter killed four people and injured at least eight others at the Old National Bank in downtown Louisville. The victims included two officers at the spot. Louisville Metro Police Department deputy chief Paul Humphrey said at a press conference on Monday morning that the shooter was killed and his identity is not yet made public, according to People.
'This is awful'
Kentucky governor Andy Beshear said in an emotional address, "This is awful. I have a very close friend who didn't make it today, and I have another close friend who didn't either, and one who is at the hospital that I hope is going to make it through. He continued, "There are a lot of people who are hurting today. Surround them with the love and compassion we have been so good at showing one another."
