Why do Shemwell kids hate each other? 'The Blended Bunch' fans hold 'selfish' Erica and Spencer responsible
Erica and Spencer Shemwell are together raising their family of seven and four kids respectively from their previous marriages, on TLC's latest offering called 'The Blended Bunch'. They met on a widow support online group and went on their first official date on November 24, 2018. They tied the knot on January 22, 2019 in Provo, Utah and the family lives together in Lehi. The series premiere episode on Tuesday night, March 16, highlighted the fact that even though the couple is very much in love, its their kids who are facing the repurcussions of their relationship.
A couple of them are still missing the parent that they lost and some of them are having trouble mixing with each other for example Erica's daughter Emma and Spencer's daughter Harper who don't see eye to eye over anything. Tanner was seen crying while hugging a photo featuring him and his late father Tony Means who defeated cancer thrice before it returned again to claim his life. A lot of kids have issues with Emma who in their opinion bosses everyone around more than Erica and Spencer.

On the other hand, Emma admitted that she was happier before her mom decided to marry Spencer and she hates the fact that the Shemwell kids (Braydon, Harper, Avery, and Bexley) do not listen to her mom as much as she does. She was also seen telling Bexley that he should address her grandparents by their names. Harper told Emma off for bossing her around, "You are not my real sister so you can't tell me what to do," she said in a firm tone. All of these and more issues were a part of the first episode and the audiences have a lot of thoughts, and most of them are pointing out at how this is a larger problem and it's Erica and Spencer who are responsible for it.
"Erica and Spencer seem very selfish. They both seem to make major decisions on a whim and expect their family to step up, upend their own lives, and go along with whatever is thrown at them. #TheBlendedBunch," wrote a fan. "I feel for the parents but this was way too rushed. 11 kids haven’t had the chance to grieve losing their mom/dad before being uprooted into a completely unfamiliar situation #theblendedbunch" read a tweet. "I do think the parents jumped too soon into this tho and didn't fully consider the emotional needs of the kids. I wouldn't call them anything like The Brady Bunch. They're more like the 'Yours Mine and Ours' movies. I prefer the Lucille Ball/Henry Fonda one lol. #TheBlendedBunch," another fan wrote.

Some of them don’t even like each other #Theblendedbunch" read another tweet. "Is anyone watching #TheBlendedBunch? I’m getting selfish vibes from the parents," another fan wrote.
