A Chicago hospital executive recently irked the internet by saying that he vaccinated Eric Trump, giving people the idea that Donald Trump's son got the vaccine way before his turn, as determined by the eligibility criteria. Dr. Anosh Ahmed, the chief operating officer at Loretto Hospital bragged over a text message about vaccinating Eric Trump, at a vaccination event meant to benefit Black and Brown hotel workers, reports Block Club Chicago.

However, Ahmed later claimed that his text was a 'joke' and that Eric Trump was not actually vaccinated. He addressed the confusion and debunked his earlier claims. Ahmed also added that Trump was in the building at the time of the event.

Did Eric Trump get the vaccine before eligibility?

On March 10, 2021, a vaccination event was held by Loretto Hospital at the Trump Tower hotel in Downtown Chicago. The event was primarily meant for the benefit of Black and Brown hotel workers, and secured vaccines for 72 employees. Although, the hospital officials later admitted the mistake of offering vaccine doses meant for West Siders to the hotel employees before they were eligible, amid rising ethical concerns about the event.

The alleged text by Dr. Ahmed, accompanied by his photo with Eric Trump, sparked the rumor about Eric Trump's vaccination. Many slammed the Trump family's hypocrisy - as father Donald Trump has sported an anti-vaccine stance while getting vaccinated himself well ahead of his peers.

However, at present, it can be assumed that Eric Trump did not actually receive the vaccine. In a statement, reported by NBC Chicago. Ahmed said, “Eric Trump happened to be in the building but we did not vaccinate him. A few residents including myself did take a photo with him. My text was meant as a joke, given his anti-vaccine stance."

Internet calls Eric Trump 'privileged, rich, white boy'

Before Dr. Ahmed issued the clarification, the internet has already vilified Eric Trump citing his controversial past behaviors as well. "Eric Trump skipped the line to get a COVID vaccine that was supposed to be used to vaccinate people in underserved communities. Just another example of him being a completely vile person," writer Parker Molloy remarked on Twitter.

The news surfaced at a time when Eric Trump revealed his plans to turn his family's financially struggling Miami Doral Resort into a casino with gambling permits. The public have now taken to Twitter to slam Eric Trump as a 'privileged, rich, white boy' who is abusing his power and affluence to deprive the needy.

"Totally not surprised that Eric trump, the guy who stole charity money for kids with cancer, would jump the line for a vaccine he wasn't eligible for. What a total scumbag," wrote Democrat advisor and YouTuber M M Padellan. Another user tweeted, "Let’s just say, hypothetically, somebody wants to buy a vaccine on the black market. Anyone got Eric Trump’s digits?"
