Nipsey Hussle's alleged killer Eric Holder absent from court after being BEATEN UP in jail
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Eric Holder, the man accused of killing decorated rapper Nipsey Hussle, was absent from court on Tuesday, June 28, as he was reportedly beaten up in jail and had to skip the hearing due to the medical treatment for his injuries. The report claims that Holder was beaten up in custody when he was taken back to the facility after the court proceeding at around 4 pm on Monday, June 27.
According to Rolling Stones, Eric Holder's lawyer confirmed the incident and said that Holder was undergoing treatment for his injuries. Even though the extent of his injuries was not immediately clarified, the report claims that he had "more than a black eye." Holder, who was a member of the Rollin’ 60s gang claimed that Nipsey was a member too, and believes that the 34-year-old late musician snitched to the law enforcement. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge H Clay Jack told the jurors on Tuesday that the session was canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances" and asked them to return Wednesday unless they hear otherwise.

Rolling Stones reported that the Holder was ordered to be kept away from other inmates. Where and how of the attack are unclear, however, Defense Attorney Aaron Jansen told the magazine that the delay was related to "medical issues" and clarified that it wasn't due to Covid. The accused has not pleaded guilty to the crime and the trial is still ongoing.
'A case of heat of passion,' says Defense attorney Aaron Jansen
Jansen previously told jurors that this was "a case of heat of passion," and that said that Hussle, "accused Mr Holder that he was a snitch.” Both Holder and Hussle grew up in the same neighborhood and were affiliated with the same gang in South Los Angeles. It was also revealed that ten minutes before the shooting, both had a conversation where Hussle accused Holder of snitching.
Eric Holder's gal pal Bryannita Nicholson, 35, testified on June 20, that she saw Holder loading bullets into the gun just before killing the rapper in front of his store The Marathon in 2019. Nicholson said, "I saw him as soon as I turned into the parking lot and I said, "Oh, there goes Nipsey! He’s fine! … Eric was not wearing a shirt when he got out and he went to Nipsey.” She admitted hearing Holder screaming, "Did you say I snitched," before walking away from Hussle who was standing with 2 other men.
She further revealed that after getting back to her car, he asked Nicholson to drive around the block twice. "I seen (sic) him put bullets into the automatic gun. It was the black one. .. When he was doing it, I said, ‘What are you doing?! You aren’t going to shoot that out my car!’ Then he put it away," said Nicholson.
She said that she didn't flee the scene after hearing gunshots as she was worried that Holder was hurt. However, when he got back to her car, Holder insisted that she drive away from the scene. Rolling Stones further reported that when the court resumes, Holder's defense is expected to present two witnesses to the stand taking less than a day before the closing arguments.
