‘Ex on the Beach: Peak of Love’: Todd calls La Demi 'insecure', furious fans ask him to 'look in the mirror'
It is the season finale of ‘Ex on the Beach: Peak of Love’, which means it is also the time for the singles to finally make a decision about who they want to leave the chalet with: Their ex, their next or just by themselves. Marlon Williams is without a doubt in a tough situation, considering his strong interest in La Demi, whom he considers his potential next, and the presence of his ex, Todd Mauer, isn’t making things any easy for him.
In the previous episode, Marlon left everybody shocked when he chose to go on a date with La Demi instead of Todd, fans felt sorry for Todd, but were happy for Demi after watching the chemistry she shares with Marlon. Considering how guarded Demi is with her feelings, it hasn’t always been easy for Marlon to get closer to her. But now it is the final melting hearts ceremony and he has to make a decision.
Before Marlon revealed his decision about who he wants to leave the chalet with, Todd tries to be the bigger person and declares that he still loves Marlon and wants nothing but love and happiness for him irrespective of his decision. Not wanting to disappoint or hurt anyone, Marlon decides that he doesn’t want to give his heart to anyone, and reveals that he wants to leave the chalet again. Todd seemed relieved after hearing Marlon’s decision and supports it saying Marlon needs to work on himself before he gets into a relationship.
It is Demi’s turn now and she chooses to give her heart to Marlon. She explains that she wants to see how things would be with Marlon outside of the chalet, and wants to give it a shot. On hearing this Marlon turns happy and says he would like that too. Although Marlon doesn’t give his heart to Demi, he makes it clear that he wants to explore things with Demi, without building up her expectations. Demi seems happy with it, and the couple seals the deal by leaving the chalet together.
When Todd watches Marlon and Demi leave together, we see him turning green with envy. Later in his green room interview, he says Demi only gave her heart to Marlon because she is “insecure” and calls her “desperate”. Fans were furious with him for calling Demi “insecure” and took to Twitter to express their views.

Another fan tweeted, “I’m so offended that Todd had the audacity to call La Demi desperate after literally chasing Marlon around the chalet all season. #ExOnTheBeach.”
