The Emmy Awards 2021 are on and our favorite stars have thronged the red carpet looking heavenly in the finest silk gowns, ruffled jumpsuits, or embellished tuxedos. From the king of red carpet Billy Porter to the Emma 'Princess Diana' Corrin, the Emmy 2021 red carpet did not fail to surprise, with some unlikely winners emerging when it comes to the question of best-dressed celebs. 

The Los Angeles Microsoft Theatre was lit up with the prettiest lights, as the stars gather at the show hosted by Cedric the Entertainer. The September 19 event comes days after the 2021 Met Gala, considered the fashion Olympics. Much of 2020 went by inside the confines of our homes in our pajamas, so it's probably no wonder that the celebs went all out to impress with their stunning outfits in fact,let's refresh our memories of Emmys 2019 red carpet. Emma Corrin

We absolutely have no other choice than to start off our list with Emma Corrin, who swapped her 'Princess' image to don a swanky Offred avatar, complete with razor-sharp claw nails. Her slender lemon yellow gown by Miu Miu came complete with a cap that might be perceived as a fashionable take on 'Handmaid's Tale'. But the star of the story is definitely her black manicured long nails, giving us a brilliant, brilliant red carpet look.

Anya Taylor-Joy

'The Queen's Gambit' star turned up in an ivory backless gown by Dior that oozed the 1960s in every crease and fold. She paired her floor-length dress perfectly with a golden yellow cape, an old Hollywood updo, and Tiffany & Co. earrings.

Billy Porter

The unquestioned king of the red carpet, Billy Porter, impressed yet again in his all-black jumpsuit with dramatic ruffles. He accessorized the Ashi outfit perfectly with an amazing emerald and diamond necklace, diamond bracelets, rings, and ear cuffs.

Nicole Byer

The 'Nailed It!' star has truly nailed her look at the Emmys 2021 red carpet as she showed up in a purple tulle gown with a long, dramatic trail. The first Black woman to be nominated for Outstanding Host for a reality TV show, Byer revealed that she chose to celebrate the occasion with a dress crafted in her favorite color.

Elizabeth Olsen

The 'Wandavision' star is no stranger to the red carpet and it's unbelievable how she effortlessly manages to slay every single time. She wore an ivory white gown designed by her sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley for their label 'The Row'. The look was completed with Chandelier diamond earrings and cranberry red lipstick.

Michaela Coel

The British actress and screenwriter of 'Chewing Gum' fame stunned in a midriff-baring neon yellow dress by Christopher John Rogers, with a long trail and a tapered skirt. She wore matching pumps and simple diamond jewelry to accentuate her ensemble.

Kaley Cuoco

Another star who managed to impress the shutterbugs in neon yellow was 'The Big Bang Theory' actress Kaley Cuoco. The recently divorced star turned up in a custom Vera Wang gown with a frontal slit, pockets and a plunging neckline. The floral ruffles on the straps added just the right amount of flair and oomph needed for an event of this stature. Her choice to keep accessories to a minimum has to be lauded as it kept the entire focus on this stunner of a dress.

Looking resplendent in a flaming red Carolina Herrera gown, Mandy Moore went with a basic hairdo where her bangs stole the show. The 'This Is Us' star opted for bright red lips with her ensemble.
